NRJ Group
The NRJ Group (NRJ is an acronym read as ''énergie'' in French, pronounced ) () is a French multimedia group based in Paris. Its founders are Jean-Paul Baudecroux and Max Guazzini. Since its foundation in 1981 as a French pop music radio station it has grown and evolved to become the NRJ Group. NRJ is the most popular radio station in France with 6,159,000 listeners daily. All stations of NRJ Group carry around 40 minutes every hour of non-stop hits (or sometimes, "10 hits in a row"). NRJ Group currently has 33 FM stations (transmitting through 1260 frequencies) and around 220 internet stations and 12 mobile applications, along with replay TV and a host of other services. NRJ (Belgium)
NRJ Belgique is a private Belgian radio station broadcasting in Wallonia and Brussels, and is the Belgian version of the popular French radio station NRJ. A Flemish NRJ was launched on 3 September 2018. Airing in Dutch, it is owned by SBS Belgium and Mediahuis, which propose programming independently from the NRJ Group (unlike its French-language counterpart). NRJ (NRJ is an acronym read as Nouvelle Radio Jeune, or ''énergie'' in French, pronounced , literally "energy") is a private French radio station created by Jean-Paul Baudecroux and Max Guazzini in June 1981, and was widely popularized thanks to its godmother singer Dalida, who prevented it from closing in 1984. NRJ Energy is a private Russian radio station, created in 2006 based in Moscow, and is the Russian version of the French NRJ. The playlist of the radio station is made up of the most popular songs (hence the new slogan of the radio station is "Hit Music Only"). NRJ 12 is a French private public-state general-interest television channel belonging to the NRJ Group, created on 31 March 2005 on DTT. The channel is available on DTT, cable, satellite and ADSL. An NRJ Music Award (commonly abbreviated as an NMA) is an award presented by the French radio station NRJ to honor the best in the French and worldwide music industry. The awards ceremony, created in 2000 by NRJ in partnership with the television network TF1, traditionally took place every year in mid-January at Cannes (Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, France) as the opening of MIDEM (''Marché international de l'édition musicale''). The ''Northern Rhodesia Journal'', often referred to simply as "NRJ", was produced between 1950 and 1965, by the Northern Rhodesian Government Printer, to record some of the early history of Northern Rhodesia. Naval Air Station Sanford was a naval air station of the United States Navy in Sanford, Florida, approximately 20 miles north of Orlando, Florida. Opening less than a year after the start of World War II, NAS Sanford's initial function was as an advanced training base for land-based patrol bombers, followed by carrier-based fighter aircraft. The air station briefly closed in 1946 and was placed in caretaker status until being reactivated in 1950.
