NK Celje
Nogometni klub Celje ( en, Celje Football Club), commonly referred to as NK Celje or simply Celje (), is an association football club from Celje, Slovenia. They play in the Slovenian PrvaLiga. Together with Maribor, they are the only club that have participated in every season of the Slovenian PrvaLiga since its formation in 1991. Celje won their first league title in the 2019–20 season. They have also won the 2004–05 edition of the Slovenian Cup. History The club was formed in 1919 as ''SK Celje''. Soon after the World War II, in 1946, the club changed its name to ''NK Kladivar'' (expressionistic term in Slovene for a blacksmith). In 1964 they qualified for the Yugoslav Second League, where they played for one year. In 1992, one year after Slovenia gained independence from Yugoslavia, the club was renamed as ''Publikum'' due to sponsorship reasons. ND Gorica
Nogometno društvo Gorica, commonly referred to as ND Gorica or simply Gorica, is a Slovenian football club based in the town of Nova Gorica. They are one of the most successful Slovenian clubs with four Slovenian PrvaLiga and three Slovenian Cup titles. Aljoša Matko (born 29 March 2000) is a Slovenian footballer who plays as a forward for Slovenian PrvaLiga club Celje. Early life Matko was born in Novo Mesto and grew up in Črnomelj. He began his career at the age of four with local club Bela Krajina, where he stayed for eight years. In 2013 he moved to Krka, before joining the youth academy of domestic giants Maribor in 2015. He went on to score 67 goals in 93 games in the club's youth system. Club career Maribor In 2019–20, Matko was sent on loan from Maribor to fellow PrvaLiga club Bravo, where he made his debut in senior football. Dušan Stojinović
Dušan Stojinović (born 26 August 2000) is a Slovenian professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Ekstraklasa club Jagiellonia Białystok. Club career Stojinović is a youth academy product of Bravo. He made his senior team debut on 14 October 2017 in a 3–0 defeat against Mura. Stojinović joined Celje during 2017–18 season. In June 2019, he signed a contract extension with the club until 2022. He scored his first professional goal on 25 August 2019 in a 6–0 win against Triglav. With Celje, he won the 2019–20 Slovenian PrvaLiga season, the club's first ever national championship title. In June 2021, Stojinović joined the Russian Premier League side Khimki on loan. Penalty Shoot-out (association Football)
A penalty shoot-out (officially kicks from the penalty mark) is a tie-breaking method in association football to determine which team is awarded victory in a match that cannot end in a draw, when the score is tied after the normal time as well as extra time (if used) have expired. In a penalty shoot-out, each team takes turns shooting at goal from the penalty mark, with the goal defended only by the opposing team's goalkeeper. Each team has five shots which must be taken by different kickers; the team that makes more successful kicks is declared the victor. Shoot-outs finish as soon as one team has an insurmountable lead. If scores are level after five pairs of shots, the shootout progresses into additional " sudden-death" rounds. Balls successfully kicked into the goal during a shoot-out do not count as goals for the individual kickers or the team, and are tallied separately from the goals scored during normal play (including extra time, if any).
