NISA Nation
NISA Nation is a semi-professional men's soccer league in the United States. The league is below the professional leagues in the United States soccer league system and began play in 2021. NISA Nation is affiliated with the third tier professional league National Independent Soccer Association. Expansion The league is composed by clubs from New Jersey, Maryland, California, Delaware, New York, Nevada, Arizona, Massachusetts, Florida and Pennsylvania. On August 25, 2021, Atlantic City FC was announced as the first club of the newly formed league. In the second half of 2021, another five clubs were announced to form the Northeast Region and to kick off for the Fall 2021 season. National Independent Soccer Association
The National Independent Soccer Association (NISA) is a professional men's soccer league in the United States. The league is in the third tier of American soccer and began play in 2019. NISA initially used a fall-to-spring season format with a winter break but have switched to spring-to-fall which is more common in the United States. History League beginnings On June 6, 2017, it was announced that the newly formed National Independent Soccer Association would begin play in 2018 targeting an initial 8 to 10 teams, later revised to 8 to 12 teams. Initially, the league outlined plans to introduce a promotion/relegation system, once they reach their goal of 24 teams, the first in US professional soccer and in doing so act as a feeder league to the North American Soccer League (NASL); however, the NASL ceased operations prior to those plans being implemented. The Midwest Premier League (MWPL) is an American amateur and semi-professional soccer league. The league spans primarily the eastern and central portions of the Midwestern United States. History The league was founded by four clubs which were all previously members of the United Premier Soccer League Midwest Conference. Following the 2019 UPSL season, the clubs decided that they could create a stable league that would focus on sustainability of the member clubs by sharing ideas, keeping league costs to a minimum, and maximizing the opportunities for all clubs to compete by limiting end-of-season playoffs that often shorten the season for many teams. The Gulf Coast Premier League (GCPL) is a United States Adult Soccer Association affiliated Amateur Elite League that includes teams from Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas. The regular season of the GCPL runs May through July. The Eastern Premier Soccer League (EPSL) is a United States Adult Soccer Association and a National Independent Soccer Association affiliated Amateur Elite League that includes teams from the Eastern United States. Currently the league has members from Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. In sports leagues, promotion and relegation is a process where teams are transferred between multiple divisions based on their performance for the completed season. Leagues that use promotion and relegation systems are often called open leagues. In a system of promotion and relegation, the best-ranked team(s) in the lower division are ''promoted'' to the higher division for the next season, and the worst-ranked team(s) in the higher division are ''relegated'' to the lower division for the next season. The United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA) is a national organization for amateur soccer in the United States. It consists of 55 state organizations as well as national, regional and state leagues. The National Premier Soccer League, NISA Nation and United Premier Soccer League are USASA national affiliates designed to promote a higher level of competition than the state organizations. USASA also affiliates the Women's Premier Soccer League, one of the unrecognized third division leagues below the fully professional NWSL. 2021 NISA Nation Season
The 2021 NISA Nation season has been the first season of NISA Nation. It was the inaugural season for the National Independent Soccer Association 4th tier league. The season has been made by 10 founder teams divided in two regions and the two toppers of the two regions have been crowned champions of their own regions. History Northeast Division The season was played from September 18 to December 12. The Northeast Division ended on December 13, 2021, with a showdown between New Jersey Alliance FC and New Amsterdam FC II. It ended in a 4–0 score in favor of NJAFC. The inaugural fall season for the Northeast had 28 games, 116 goals scored, 4.14 goals per match, and 210 players registered during its play. Atlantic City Football Club (ACFC) is an American Association football, soccer team based in Atlantic City, New Jersey, United States. Founded in 2017, the team plays in the National Premier Soccer League, NPSL . The team uses Stockton University's Soccer Stadium in Galloway for home matches. The team's colors are purple, black and white.
