NCAA Season 92 Basketball Tournaments
The 2016 basketball tournaments of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (Philippines), otherwise known as NCAA Season 92, officially opened on June 25, 2016 at the Mall of Asia Arena, Pasay. The showdown between season hosts San Beda Red Lions and season 91 men's basketball champions Letran Knights will be the first game, while JRU Heavy Bombers will face Mapua Cardinals in the second game. The games of the seniors basketball will be played on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, while the junior games will be conducted every Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays. Most of the basketball games will be held at the Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan, while Playoffs Final Four and Finals matches will be held at the MOA Arena. The SM Mall of Asia Arena, also known as the Mall of Asia Arena or the MoA Arena, is an indoor arena within the SM Mall of Asia complex, in Bay City, Pasay, Metro Manila, Philippines. The Benilde Blazers basketball program represents De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde (CSB) in men's basketball as a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (Philippines) (NCAA). Jeff Napa (born September 19, 1981) is a Filipino professional basketball player and coach. He is the current head coach of the NU Bulldogs in the UAAP and currently serving as an assistant for the NorthPort Batang Pier in the PBA. He previously coached the Letran Knights in the NCAA. Letran Knights Basketball
The Letran Knights basketball is the collegiate men’s basketball program of the Colegio de San Juan de Letran. The Knights have won 20 championships since joining the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). It is the second winningest team in the NCAA, just behind the San Beda Red Lions. The current head coach of the Knights is Bonnie Tan. History Pre-war: first championship The Letran basketball team found its humble beginnings in ''Liga Catolica'' until the 1920s.
