Nyora is a town in South Gippsland, Victoria, Australia, approximately south-east of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the Shires of Baw Baw, Cardinia and South Gippsland local government areas. Nyora recorded a population of 1,644 at the 2021 census. Nyora is from Lang Lang, and from the nearest beach. The Post Office opened around September 1890 replacing an office at nearby Lang Lang East open since 1885. The town's railway station and general store were included in the popular ABC TV program '' Something in the Air''. The township featured in the TV series was known as "Emu Springs". Golfers play at the course of the Lang Lang Golf Club on the South Gippsland Highway, Nyora. Nyora is home to the Nyora Football club—nicknamed the Saints and wear red/white/black uniforms. The Shire of Korumburra was a local government area located about southeast of Melbourne, the state capital of Victoria, Australia. The shire covered an area of , and existed from 1891 until 1994. History Originally part of the Shire of Buln Buln, Korumburra was first incorporated as the Shire of Poowong and Jeetho on 29 May 1891. South Gippsland Railway Line
The South Gippsland railway line is a partially closed railway line in Victoria, Australia. It was first opened in 1892, branching from the Orbost line at Dandenong, and extending to Port Albert. Much of it (the section up to Leongatha) remained open until December 1994 (passenger services finished the previous July). Today, only the section between Dandenong and Cranbourne remains open for use. The section of the line from Nyora to Leongatha was used by the South Gippsland Tourist Railway until it ceased operations in 2016. Korumburra
Korumburra is a town in the Australian state of Victoria. It is located on the South Gippsland Highway, south-east of Melbourne, in the South Gippsland Shire local government area. At the Korumburra had an urban population of 3,639. Surrounded by rolling green hills, the town is above the sea level of coastal Inverloch, about away. Longwarry is a town in Victoria, Australia, south-east of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the Shires of Baw Baw and Cardinia local government areas. Longwarry recorded a population of 2,436 at the 2021 census. It has one primary school, Longwarry Primary School. Longwarry is bypassed by the Princes Freeway. ''Something in the Air'' is an Australian television soap opera transmitted by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation between 2000 and 2002. It was one of the first programs in Australia that was filmed in widescreen. It won the AACTA Award for Best Television Drama Series in 2001. The series initially screened four episodes weekly, Monday to Thursday at 6:30 pm and received moderate success. Ratings began to drop after the show was moved to Saturday evenings in which it was cut down to two episodes shown in a one-hour block. It later resumed its usual weekly run, however, it was screened in a 6:00 pm timeslot which ultimately led to its cancellation. The series was repeated on the-then ABC2 from 11 February 2008. Lang Lang is a town in Victoria, Australia, 73 km south-east of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the Shires of Bass Coast, Cardinia and South Gippsland local government areas. The 2021 Australian census, simply called the 2021 Census, was the eighteenth national Census of Population and Housing in Australia. The 2021 Census took place on 10 August 2021, and was conducted by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS).
