Nyamari Ongegu (born April 8, 1981) known professionally as Nyashinski is a Kenyan rapper and songwriter. He is a co-founding member of a hip hop trio Kleptomaniax. Biography Nyashinski who was born as Nyamari Ogengu on April 8, 1981 in Kisii, Kenya, attended at Nairobi School. On 10th April, 2019, Nyashinski whose full birth name was Inyatta Nyamari Ongegu, through a gazette notice announced legally abandoning the use of his first name, Inyatta, instead opted to use Nyamari Ongegu only as his official full name. Nyashinski lived in Kenya until 2006, when he, a 21 year old teenager and a member of a rap trio, Kleptomaniax and his family relocated to Delaware, USA where he worked as a truck driver for 10 years until his return to Kenya to continue his music career in 2016. Kleptomaniax
Kleptomaniax is a rap group from Nairobi, Kenya. The group consists of three members: Roba (Robert Manyasa), Collo (Collins Majale) and Nyashinski (Nyamari Ongegu). Kleptomaniax were formed in 1999, when they were still high school students at the Nairobi School. The group joined the Ogopa DJs label and released their first single, "Freak It" in 2002, which was followed by "Maniax Anthem" and "Haree." In 2004 the group released another single "Tuendelee", which became their biggest hit so far. The song was written as a response for the "Diss track" by various hip hop musicians (including Bamboo), who criticised the commercial Kapuka music style performed by Kleptomaniax among others. Their debut album ''M4E'' (an abbreviation for ''Maniax Forever'') was released in 2005. 2018 MTV Europe Music Awards
The 2018 MTV EMAs (also known as the MTV Europe Music Awards) was held at the Bizkaia Arena ( Bilbao Exhibition Centre) in Barakaldo, part of Greater Bilbao, Basque Country, Spain, on 4 November 2018. The ceremony's host was Hailee Steinfeld. This was the third time that Spain hosted the ceremony. The 2017 MTV EMAs (also known as the MTV Europe Music Awards) were held at The SSE Arena in Wembley, London, United Kingdom, on 12 November 2017. The ceremony's host was Rita Ora, with voiceovers provided by Capital FM DJ Roman Kemp. This was the sixth time that the UK hosted the ceremony, and the second time London was the host city. Ogopa Deejays are a Kenyan music production team and record label formed in the late 1990s who gained regional fame and popularity due to standards of their production work. Background The people behind Ogopa DJs are brothers Francis and Lucas Bikedo, and manager Banda. They rarely show their faces in public and do not agree to have their photos taken or published by Kenyan media. The team started out producing hit songs for artists such as Bebe Cool, Chameleone and Redsan. They are widely acclaimed to have helped boost the Kenyan urban music scene from obscurity. Kenyan hip hop is a genre of music and a culture that covers various forms and subgenres of hip-hop and rap originating from Kenya. It is commonly a combination of Swahili and English (Kenya's official languages) as well as Sheng and a variety of tribal languages.
