Nyanbo!
is a Japanese anime television series by Shirogumi. It is a spin-off of Kiyohiko Azuma's ''Yotsuba&!'' manga, based on the cat versions of the Danbo (character), Danbo characters within the series. It began airing on September 27, 2016, on NHK Educational TV, NHK-E. Figures The original Nyanbo or Nyanboard 60mm figures were created by Sentinel in December 2015. The figure maker Kotobukiya (toy company), Kotobukiya released smaller 35mm versions called in December 2016, and larger 90mm versions called ''Nyanboard [mini]'' in January 2017. Yotsuba&!
is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Kiyohiko Azuma, the creator of ''Azumanga Daioh''. It has been serialized since March 2003 in the monthly magazine '' Dengeki Daioh'' by ASCII Media Works, formerly MediaWorks, and has since been collected into 15 ''tankōbon'' volumes. It depicts the everyday adventures of a young girl named Yotsuba as she learns about the world around her, guided by her adoptive father, their neighbors, and their friends. Several characters in ''Yotsuba&!'' were previously featured in a one-shot manga by Azuma called "Try! Try! Try!" , also known as just , is a fictional character and the main protagonist in the comedy manga series ''Yotsuba&!'', as well as the one-shot manga "Try! Try! Try!", both by Kiyohiko Azuma. Danbo (character)
is a Character (arts), fictional cardboard box robot character from Kiyohiko Azuma, Kiyohiko Azuma's manga series ''Yotsuba&!''. In the ADV Manga English translation of the manga the name ''Cardbo'' was used, but the name was restored to Danbo in the later released Yen Press English translation. In reality, Danbo is merely Miura Hasayaka, a friend of the protagonist Yotsuba Koiwai, Yotsuba’s neighbor Ena, inside of a costume made of cardboard. Danbo was later picked up as an Internet meme, and inspired various electronic gadgets. Origin Miura created the costume out of cardboard boxes as a school project in volume 5 of the series. 5-year-old protagonist Yotsuba Koiwai, Yotsuba is convinced it's a real robot.
