Nut (album)
''Nut'' is the seventh studio album by Scottish singer-songwriter KT Tunstall, and the third and final album in the "soul, body and mind" trilogy. It was released on 9 September 2022, following the first two albums of the trilogy, ''Kin'' and ''Wax.'' The first songs released from the album were "Canyons", "I Am the Pilot" and the lead single "Private Eyes". Background Tunstall announced the release of ''Nut'' on 28 May 2022, completing her trilogy of albums based on "soul, body and mind", with ''Nut'' being about the mind. Tunstall started working on the record during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic lockdown, alongside writing music for a musical. The album was written and recorded during a profound period of change for Tunstall, including hearing loss, heightened self-awareness, love and a global pandemic. Kate Victoria "KT" Tunstall (born 23 June 1975) is a Scottish singer-songwriter and musician. She first gained attention with a 2004 live solo performance of her song " Black Horse and the Cherry Tree" on '' Later... with Jools Holland''. The name of her debut studio album, ''Eye to the Telescope,'' was inspired by her childhood experiences at her father's physics laboratory at University of St Andrews. Johnny Lynch
Johnny Lynch (born 28 September 1981) is a Scottish musician who performs under the pseudonym The Pictish Trail. After graduation from the University of St Andrews, Lynch ran Fence Records from 2003 until 2013 and has since been running Lost Map Records. Lynch has attended and played every Green Man Festival since its inception in 2003. He's also played as band member with other musicians, including James Yorkston and Malcolm Middleton.
