Nurul Islam Milon
Nurul Islam Milon ( bn, নূরুল ইসলাম মিলন) is a Bangladeshi politician and the former Member of Parliament from Comilla-8. Early life Milon was born on 20 July 1949. He did his undergraduate, graduate degree, and PhD in physics at the University of Dhaka. Career Milon was elected to Parliament from Comilla-8 as a Jatiya Party candidate in 2014 and ended his term in 2018. Milon lost the re-election from Comilla-8 as a Jatiya Party candidate on 30 December 2018 to Nasimul Alam Chowdhury of Awami League. He had received 1,411 votes and came a distant third while Chowdhury received 188,659 votes. References

Comilla-8 is a constituency represented in the Jatiya Sangsad (National Parliament) of Bangladesh since 2019 by Nasimul Alam Chowdhury of the Awami League. Jatiya Party (Ershad)
The Jatiya Party ( bn, জাতীয় পার্টি, translit=Jatiyo Party, lit=National Party) is a conservative, nationalist political party in Bangladesh and is currently the main opposition in the Jatiya Sangsad, against the Awami League. The current chairman of the party is Ghulam Muhammad Quader. On 3 January 2019, the party announced its decision to join the Bangladesh Awami League-led Grand Alliance after having been in opposition for the previous parliamentary term. However, the party backtracked the next day and announced that it intended to remain part of the opposition. Currently, it holds Rangpur out of Bangladesh's 12 city corporations.
