Nuno Santos (footballer, Born 1973)
Nuno Luís Costa Santos (born 20 April 1973) is a Portuguese retired professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper, currently a goalkeeping coach. Playing career Born in Setúbal, Santos made his professional debut with his hometown club Vitória FC, also serving two loans with lowly teams (Caldas S.C. and CD Operário). His performances in the 1997–98 campaign attracted the attention of Leeds United, but he made no official appearances whatsoever for the Premier League side, returning to his country with S.L. Benfica. During his stint in Lisbon, Santos was almost always only third choice, and went on to also serve several loans, including in Spain's CD Badajoz, playing no games in the Segunda División during his four-month spell. Released by Benfica in June 2004 after a season-long loan spell at Vitória, he stabilised at C.D. Nuno Filipe Oliveira Santos (born 9 July 1978) is a Portuguese former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Playing career Born in Coimbra, Baixo Mondego, Santos started his professional career with Sporting CP. Barred by the likes of Peter Schmeichel and Ricardo during his spell he only appeared once for the first team in the Primeira Liga, and was loaned to several clubs during his contract, including F.C. Penafiel in the second division in the 2003–04 season. After helping the northern side return to the top flight, Santos had his loan extended until 30 June 2005. At the end of the campaign, which ended with an 11th position and the subsequent league status preservation, he agreed to a permanent deal. Nuno Filipe Oliveira dos Santos (born 19 June 1980) is a Portuguese former professional footballer who played mainly as a forward but also as a full back (right or left). Club career Born in Viana do Castelo, Santos spent his early career in the third and fourth divisions, reaching the Segunda Liga in 2004 with Varzim SC. Four years later he was signed by another club in that tier, Azores' C.D. Santa Clara, starting in all league games during the season and scoring nine goals, including two braces. Nuno Miguel Gomes dos Santos (born 13 February 1995) is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays as a left winger or left wing-back for Sporting CP. Club career Benfica Born in Trofa, Porto metropolitan area, Santos began his development at local C.D. Nuno Miguel Valente Santos (born 2 March 1999) is a Portuguese professional Association football, footballer who plays as a midfielder for Vitória S.C., Vitória de Guimarães.
