''Nungambakkam'' is a 2020 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by Ramesh Selvan. Based on the Swathi murder case, the film stars Ajmal, Mano and Ayra. The film completed its shoot in 2017 but faced production and legal delays before releasing on 30 October 2020 through a digital platform. Synopsis The film's plot is based on the real-life incident of the Swathi murder case, which took place at the Nungambakkam railway station in Chennai during June 2016. Ramesh Selvan
Ramesh Selvan is an Indian film director, who has made Tamil films. Career Ramesh Selvan made his debut as a film maker with the action film ''Ulavuthurai'' (1998) starring Vijayakanth in lead role before making the revenge drama ''Jananam'' (2003) starring Arun Vijay. He then began directing a project titled ''Runway'' with Prashanth, but after a few schedules it had run into financial problems. Ramesh announced that he would be making a comeback in early 2010, revealing that he was working a project titled ''Kalavaram'' with Sathyaraj in the lead role. ''Kalavaram'' was revealed to be based on a true story, that of the biggest riot that has ever taken place in Tamil Nadu, with Sathyaraj playing a deputy police commissioner who heads an investigation commission. Ajmal Ameer (born 8 November 1985) is an Indian actor and former physician, who works in the Malayalam, Tamil, and Telugu film industries. He has won two Filmfare Awards South for his role '' Anjathe'' (2008) and '' Ko'' (2011). Early and personal life Ajmal was born in Aluva, Kerala on 8 November 1985. Vishal Krishna Reddy (born 29 August 1977), also known as Vishal, is an Indian actor and film producer from Tamil cinema. The younger son of film producer G. K. Reddy, Vishal studied Visual Communications at Loyola College, Chennai. Best known for his roles in action films, he produces films under his production company, Vishal Film Factory.
