Nugzar Nuri-ipa Ashuba ( Abkhaz: Нугзар Нури-иҧа Ашәба, ka, ნუგზარ აშუბა) is a senior politician from Abkhazia. He was Minister of Culture from 1986 until 1992 and the first Chairman of the State Repatriation Committee from 1992 until 1995. He was elected to the People's Assembly of Abkhazia in the 2002 elections, and he was elected Speaker on 3 April 2002 with 23 votes in favour, 10 against and 1 abstention. Ashuba was re-elected in 2007 both as Deputy and as Speaker, but suffered a first-round loss in the 2012 elections. When President Sergei Bagapsh died in 2011, and Vice President Alexander Ankvab participated in the subsequent Presidential election, Ashuba acted as President. On 29 October 2013, he was appointed Security Council Secretary by President Alexander Ankvab to succeed Stanislav Lakoba, who had been dismissed the previous day. Prince Nugzar Petres dze Bagration-Gruzinsky ( ka, ნუგზარ პეტრეს ძე ბაგრატიონ-გრუზინსკი) (born 25 August 1950, in Tbilisi, Georgian Soviet Socialist Republic) is the head of the deposed royal House of Gruzinsky and represents its claim to the former crown of Georgia. Biography Prince Nugzar is the son of Prince Petre Bagration-Gruzinsky of Georgia (1920–1984), a prominent poet and claimant to the headship of the Georgian dynasty from 1939 until his death, and his second wife Liya Mgeladze (b. 8 August 1926). Prince Nugzar is the director of the Tbilisi theatre of cinema artists. Nugzar Valeryevich Kvirtiya ( ka, ნუგზარ ვალერის ძე კვირტია; born 16 September 1984) is a Georgian retired football player who played as a midfielder. Early life Kvirtiya was born in Tbilisi on 16 September 1984. His father Valeriy Appolonovich Kvirtiya was a professional football player in Khobi, Squri, FC Guria Lanchkhuti and his mother is a cook. The family was forced to move from Georgia to Moscow because of the war in the country. Nugzar Logua is a painter, poet and politician from Abkhazia. He is the current chairman of the socio-political organisation Apsadgyl and a former Minister for Culture in the Government of President Bagapsh. Early life and career Logua was born on 20 April 1956 in the village of Chlou in Ochamchira District. Between 1974 and 1979, he studied at the Art School in Sukhumi, and between 1982 and 1988, painting at the fine arts faculty of the State Academy for Art in Tbilisi. After his graduation, he returned to the Art School in Sukhumi, where he taught painting from 1989 until 1997. From 1997 until 2001, Logua was Chairman of the Union of Artists of Abkhazia.
