Nuclear Power In The European Union
Nuclear power in the European Union accounted for approximately 26% of total electricity production in 2019 and nearly half of Low-carbon power, low-carbon energy production across the EU. The energy policies of the European Union (EU) member countries vary significantly. As of February 2020, 13 out of 27 countries have nuclear reactors. Low-carbon power is electricity produced with substantially lower greenhouse gas emissions than conventional fossil fuel power generation. The energy transition to low-carbon power is one of the most important actions required to limit climate change. Power sector emissions may have peaked in 2018. 2022 European Drought
