Nube De Hielo
Nube de Hielo translated as ''"Ice Cloud"'' is a traditional melody created by the Canarian composer Benito Cabrera. The song appeared for the first time published on the album «Notas de Viaje» in 1998, and since then it has been covered many times. The Canarians show a great of affection for this song, being deeply rooted in the Canary Islands. ''Nube de Hielo'' is an instrumental melody that has no lyrics really. Although the composer Andrés Molina wrote a letter and Chago Melián is the singer who has sung it more frequently. According to the own Benito Cabrera, the song is inspired by the Teide, especially in the sound of the silence that he found in this place. Benito Cabrera
Benito Cabrera Hernández (born 1963 in Venezuela) is a Canarian timple composer and virtuoso. He was born in Venezuela. Although he moved to Lanzarote at a young age, he has spent most of his life in Tenerife. He moved to Tenerife to study psychology in University of La Laguna. He is the author of the official hymn of the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands, and the author of the song Nube de Hielo, ''"Ice Cloud"'', one of the most deeply rooted songs in the canaries. Teide National Park
Teide National Park ( es, Parque nacional del Teide, ) is a national park located in Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain. The national park is centered on Mount Teide, the highest mountain of Spain (3,718 meters high) in addition, the highest volcano in the Atlantic Ocean islands and the third highest volcano in the world from its base in the ocean floor (7.500 meters high). Scarborough Fair (ballad)
"Scarborough Fair" ( Child 2, Roud 12) is a traditional English ballad. The song, which is a variant of The Elfin Knight, lists a number of impossible tasks given to a former lover who lives in Scarborough, North Yorkshire. The "Scarborough/Whittingham Fair" variant was most common in Yorkshire and Northumbria, where it was sung to various melodies, often using Dorian mode, with refrains resembling "parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme" and "Then she'll be a true love of mine."
