Adam Nowland
Adam Christopher Nowland (born 6 July 1981 in Preston) is an English retired footballer. Career Early career: Blackpool and Wimbledon Nowland started his career at Blackpool in 1998 where he made his professional debut at the age of 17. When he scored the first of his six League goals for the club, on 19 September, he became the youngest Blackpool player ever to score a League goal. Despite making 81 appearances (including 51 as a substitute in the League) and scoring seven goals for ''the Seasiders'', he was released by manager Steve McMahon in May 2001. He signed for Wimbledon on 5 June 2001 where he made 63 appearances, scoring seven goals. West Ham United Nowland signed for West Ham United on 23 January 2004, making eleven appearances for the club that season. Ben Nowland (born May 27, 1980, in Jacksonville, Florida) is a former American football offensive lineman. He played most recently for the Georgia Force of the Arena Football League. High school years He attended Allen D. Nease Senior High School in Ponte Vedra, Florida and was a student and a letterman in football, wrestling, and track & field. In football, he was a three-year starter. In wrestling, he won a Regional Championship as a senior. In track&field, he was a Regional Champion in the shot put and the discus. College Nowland played collegiately with Auburn. Nowland was a first-team All SEC center in 2002. He was a top 10 finisher for the Rimington Award which is presented to the Nations best center. On 17 May 2023, Clare Nowland, a 95-year-old resident with dementia, was tasered by New South Wales police at an aged care home in Cooma, Australia. She was hospitalized after she fell and fractured her skull when she received the Taser electric current. She died a week later, on 24 May.
