Novosheshminsky District (russian: Новошешминский райо́н; tt-Cyrl, Яңа Чишмә районы, ''Yaña Çişmä rayonı'') is an territorial administrative unit and municipality of the Republic of Tatarstan within the Russian Federation. The district is located in the center of the republic and covers a total area of 1315 square kilometers (or 507.7 sq miles). According to the 2010 census, the municipality had a population of 14,179. The administrative center, the “ selo” (village) of Novosheshminsk, houses 32.2% of the district's total population. A settlement on the site of modern Novosheshminsk first appeared in historical records in the early 17th century. In 1652-1656, during the construction of the old Zakamskaya fortification line along the Sheshma River, the Novosheshminsky fortress was built. Aksubayevsky District
Aksubayevsky District (russian: Аксуба́евский райо́н; tt-Cyrl, Аксубай районы, ''Aksubay rayonı''; cv, Аксу районĕ, ''Aksu rayonĕ'') is a territorial administrative unit and municipality of the Republic of Tatarstan within the Russian Federation. The district is located in the south of the Republic of Tatarstan, in the Zakamsk economic region. The administrative center of the district is the urban-type settlement Aksubaevo. The Aksubayevsky district is the only district in the republic where the Chuvash population is the prevailing ethnic group by comparison to the Tatar and Russian population of the district. Cheremshansky District (russian: Черемшанский райо́н; tt-Cyrl, Чирмешән районы, ''Çirmeşän rayonı'') is an territorial administrative unit and municipality of the Republic of Tatarstan within the Russian Federation. The district is located in the south of the republic and occupies a total area of 1363,9 square kilometers (or 526.2 sq miles). According to the 2010 census, the municipality had a population of 20,361. The administrative center of the district, the “ selo” (village) of Cheremshan accounts for 29.1% of the district's total population. The settlement of Cheremshan arose in the 1730s within a fortress of the same name located on the New Zakamskaya fortification line that was built on the southern border of Muscovy. Almetyevsky District (russian: Альме́тьевский райо́н; tt-Cyrl, Әлмәт районы, ''Älmät rayonı'') is a territorial administrative unit and municipality of the Republic of Tatarstan within the Russian Federation. Nogai Horde
The Nogai Horde was a confederation founded by the Nogais that occupied the Pontic–Caspian steppe from about 1500 until they were pushed west by the Kalmyks and south by the Russians in the 17th century. The Mongol tribe called the Manghuds constituted a core of the Nogai Horde. In the 13th century, the leader of the Golden Horde, Nogai Khan, a direct descendant of Genghis Khan through Jochi, formed an army of the Manghits joined by numerous Turkic tribes.
