Novelists (band)
Novelists (often known in print as Novelists FR) are a French progressive metalcore band from Paris who formed in 2013. They are currently signed to Out of Line Music. History Novelists was founded in 2013 by brothers Amael and Florestan Durand. Shortly after, Matteo Gelsomino, Nicolas Delestrade, and Charles-Henri Teule joined. In April 2014, they released a demo with 6 songs. In July 2015, they signed with the record label Arising Empire, and in November they released their debut studio album, ''Souvenirs''. In June 2017, the band released the single "The Light, the Fire". After this, they toured with While She Sleeps and Northlane. A month later, they signed with SharpTone Records, and released their second studio album, ''Noir'', in September 2017. Novelists released their third studio album, titled ''C'est La Vie'', in January 2020. Summer Breeze Open Air is an annual German heavy metal music festival. It was first held in 1997. The festival had been held in Abtsgmünd until 2006 when it was moved to its new location of Dinkelsbühl, Bavaria. The festival draws around 40,000 attendees annually. While She Sleeps
While She Sleeps are a British metalcore band from Sheffield. Formed in 2006, the group consists of vocalist Lawrence Taylor, guitarists Sean Long and Mat Welsh, bassist Aaran McKenzie and drummer Adam Savage. They are currently signed to their own label Sleeps Brothers in the UK and in collaboration with Spinefarm Records in the US and UNFD in Australia. They have released three EPs, ''And This Is Just the Start'', ''Split'' and ''The North Stands for Nothing'', and five studio albums, '' This Is the Six'', '' Brainwashed'', ''You Are We'', '' So What?'' and ''Sleeps Society''. They received the Best British Newcomer award at the Kerrang! Awards 2012. Metalcore
Metalcore (also known as metallic hardcore) is a fusion music genre that combines elements of extreme metal and hardcore punk. As with other styles blending metal and hardcore, such as crust punk and grindcore, metalcore is noted for its use of breakdowns, slow, intense passages conducive to moshing. Other defining instrumental qualities include heavy riffs and stop-start rhythm guitar playing, occasional blast beats, and double bass drumming. Vocalists in the genre typically use thrash or scream vocals. Some later metalcore bands combine this with clean singing, often during the chorus. Death growls and gang vocals are common. 1990s metalcore bands were inspired by hardcore while later metalcore bands were inspired by melodic death metal bands like At the Gates and In Flames. Imminence is a Swedish metalcore band formed in Trelleborg, Sweden, in 2009. The group consists of vocalist Eddie Berg, lead guitarist Harald Barrett, rhythm guitarist Alex Arnoldsson, bassist Christian Höijer and drummer Peter Hanström. They are currently signed to Arising Empire and have released four studio albums. Their most recent studio album, ''Heaven in Hiding'', was released on 26 November 2021.
