Ramon Novarro
José Ramón Gil Samaniego (February 6, 1899 – October 30, 1968), known professionally as Ramon Novarro, was a Mexican-American actor. He began his career in silent films in 1917 and eventually became a leading man and one of the top box office attractions of the 1920s and early 1930s. Novarro was promoted by MGM as a "Latin lover" and became known as a sex symbol after the death of Rudolph Valentino. He is recognized as the first Latin American actor to succeed in Hollywood. Early life Novarro was born José Ramón Gil Samaniego on February 6, 1899, in Durango City, Durango, north-west Mexico, to Dr. Mariano N. Samaniego, and his wife, Leonor (Pérez Gavilán). The family moved to Los Angeles to escape the Mexican Revolution in 1913. Novarro's direct ancestors came from the Castilian town of Burgos, whence two brothers emigrated to the New World in the seventeenth century. Eddy Novarro
Eddy Novarro (c. 1925–2003) (real Vasile Novaru) was a photographer, a collector, and a cosmopolitan. He dedicated his work to the great artists of the 20th century. Important painters and sculptors such as Pablo Picasso, Marcel Duchamp, Hans Arp, Joseph Beuys and Robert Rauschenberg were among Novarro's friends. He photographed them repeatedly. At first, his first wife, Nana (Renate) Novarro, an artist too, was the one who made most of the appointments with the great artists for Eddy, and later on his last wife, Tatiana Grigorieva Novarro, managed the appointments. Eddy and Nana received paintings and the artists added "For Nana and Eddy" – today a respectful collection. David Novarro
David Novarro (born October 1, 1959) is an American television news journalist for WABC-TV in New York City. He is the co-anchor of ''Eyewitness News'' @Noon with Shirleen Allicot and the 4 pm newscast with Liz Cho. He is featured on a segment called The Trend on the 4pm newscast. Novarro returned to WABC-TV in December 2010, he was previously the anchor of ''Good Day Chicago'' at WFLD-TV in Chicago. Novarro anchored the "Ten" newscast at Fox Chicago from 2007 to 2009. Cobra Starship was an American dance-pop band founded in 2005 by Gabe Saporta (ex- Midtown), and headquartered in New York City. He recorded the first album as a solo project, ''While the City Sleeps, We Rule the Streets''. Saporta later enlisted guitarist Ryland Blackinton, bassist Alex Suarez, drummer Nate Novarro, and keytarist Victoria Asher, all of whom provide backing vocals.
