Novarama
Novarama Technology is a Spanish video game developer based in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. It is notable for its Invizimals video game series. History The studio was founded in July 2003 with the mission statement of creating innovative games with mass appeal. The studio began developing PC games, releasing Fallen Lords: Condemnation on Christmas 2005 through a local publisher. Moving into the console space, Novarama began developing Wild Summer for the PC and Xbox 360. The game was cancelled due to a publisher restructuring. Surviving the crisis with just a small core team, Novarama released Music Monstars for the Nintendo DS (known as Monster Band in the USA) in Christmas 2008, a music title for young gamers. ''Reality Fighters'' is a fighting game in which players can take photos of themselves and, using the game's editing tools, become a video game character. The game boasts over eight trillion unique fighter combinations, which can be used in solo and online play. ''Reality Fighters'' is a PlayStation Vita launch title. Gameplay The gameplay of ''Reality Fighters'' takes the classic fighting game mechanics and brings them to a wider, more mainstream focus. ''Killsquad'' is an action role-playing game developed and published by Novarama. The game's early access was released worldwide on Microsoft Windows via Steam, on July 16, 2019. It is designed for 4 player online co-op play. The game is also playable single player. ''Killsquad'' is based on a science fiction universe where bounty hunter teams called Killsquads raid planets seeking for the little available resources left. It takes inspiration from 70s westerns, pulp fiction, as well as military science fiction such as ''Starship Troopers''. Gameplay Upon entering the game, players are presented with a contract browser. Bounty Hunter Contracts are being offered to players in real-time, so they can either select one, or tag along with other players to fulfill missions together. Gameplay The gameplay of ''Invizimals'' has been compared to the ''Pokémon (video game series), Pokémon'' series, involving players capturing and raising different species of creatures, and allowing the player to battle with them, either against an AI or with others using the PSP's wireless abilities.
