The Nova Southeastern Sharks are the athletic teams that represent Nova Southeastern University, located in Davie, Florida, in intercollegiate sports as a member of the NCAA Division II ranks, primarily competing in the Sunshine State Conference (SSC) since the 2002–03 academic year. The Sharks previously competed in the Florida Sun Conference (FSC; now currently known as the Sun Conference since the 2008–09 school year) of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) from 1990–91 to 2001–02. Nova Southeastern University (NSU or, informally, Nova) is a private nonprofit research university with its main campus in Davie, Florida. The NCAA Division II Rowing Championship is a rowing championship held by the NCAA for Division II women's heavyweight (or openweight) collegiate crews. The reigning champions are Mercyhurst, who won their second team national title in 2022. The most successful program has been Western Washington, with eight titles. The NCAA Division II Women's Golf Championship, played in May, is the annual competition in women's collegiate golf for individuals and teams from universities in Division II. It is a stroke play team competition with an individual award as well. A combined Division II and Division III championship was held from 1996 to 1999, splitting into separate championships starting in 2000. NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championships
The NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championships, played in late May, is an annual competition in U.S. men's collegiate golf. From its inception through 2010, it was a 72-hole stroke play team competition, with an additional award for the lowest scoring individual competitor. The team format changed starting in 2011 to 54 holes of stroke play followed by an eight-team single elimination medal match play competition. The 54-hole individual leader is the individual champion. Many of the individual champions have gone on to successful professional careers. The most successful individual winner is Lee Janzen (1986) who won eight times on the PGA Tour including two major championships, the 1993 and 1998 U.S. Opens.
