Nova Scotia Route 221
Route 221 is a collector road in the Canadian province of Nova Scotia. It is located in Kings County and Annapolis County in the Annapolis Valley and connects Kingsport to Spa Springs. Valley residents informally refer to Route 221 as the "Back Road", since it runs parallel to Trunk 1, but instead of running through the centre of the valley, it runs close to the less-populated southern base of the North Mountain. Billtown, Nova Scotia
Billtown is a community in the Canadian province of Nova Scotia, located in Kings County. History Ebenezer Bill, a New England Planter, was granted 1000 acres of land on July 21, 1761. According to the grant, a 78-acre plot in the centre of the property was intended to include a commercial area, a town hall, a school, and a church property. From 1829 to 1961 there were schools in Billtown. A community of properties which extended along the road that serviced the area developed. By the early 1900s this included a temperance hall, multiple general stores, a blacksmith, and two schools. On December 1, 1914, the 14.8 mile North Mountain Branch railroad was completed and the Billtown Train Station was opened. This station would continue to be used until 1961. This is a list of numbered highways in the province of Nova Scotia. Arterial (100-series) highways A 100-series highway is a designation applied to a highway that can be a controlled-access expressway, Super-2, or fully divided freeway. The designation can also be applied in some cases to sections of uncontrolled access roads which are deemed strategically important and which will be upgraded in the future to controlled-access. U.S. Route 41, also U.S. Highway 41 (US 41), is a major north–south United States Numbered Highway that runs from Miami, Florida, to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Until 1949, the part in southern Florida, from Naples to Miami, was US 94. The highway's southern terminus is in the Brickell neighborhood of Downtown Miami at an intersection with Brickell Avenue ( US 1), and its northern terminus is east of Copper Harbor, Michigan, at a modest cul-de-sac near Fort Wilkins Historic State Park at the tip of the Keweenaw Peninsula. US 41 closely parallels Interstate 75 (I-75) from Naples, Florida, all the way through Georgia to Chattanooga, Tennessee.
