Nouchka Fontijn
Nouchka Fontijn (; born 9 November 1987) is a retired Dutch boxer. She is the current European champion in the women's middleweight or 75 kg class after winning gold at both the European Games in 2015 and the European Championships in 2014. Early life and education Nouchka Fontijn was born on 9 November 1987 in Rotterdam in the Netherlands. She studied physiotherapy at the Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences. Boxing career Fontijn started amateur boxing in 2007 and has been competing in the middleweight or 75 kg class. She first became Dutch champion in 2009 and has prolonged her title every year since. She won silver at the 2011 European Championships in Rotterdam, after losing in the final from Nadezhda Torlopova. She won gold at the 2014 European Championships in Bucharest. 2015 European Games
The 2015 European Games, also known as Baku 2015 or Baku 2015 European Games ( az, Bakı 2015 Avropa Oyunları), were the inaugural edition of the European Games, an international multi-sport event for athletes representing the National Olympic Committees (NOCs) of the European Olympic Committees. It took place in Baku, Azerbaijan, from 12 to 28 June 2015, and featured almost 6,000 athletes from 50 countries competing in 30 sports, including 15 summer Olympic and 2 non-Olympic sports. Host selection Baku was awarded the right to host the first European Games at the 41st EOC General Assembly in Rome, on 8 December 2012. The European Games will take place every four years thereafter, with the next competition held in 2019. 2011 Women's European Union Amateur Boxing Championships
The 2011 Women's European Union Amateur Boxing Championships were held in the Spodek stadium in Katowice, Poland from June 6 to June 11. This was the 6th edition of this annual competition organised by the European governing body for amateur boxing, the European Boxing Confederation (EUBC). 84 fighters from 20 federations competed in 10 weight divisions. European Union Amateur Boxing Championships
The European Union Amateur Boxing Championships is a competition for amateur boxers from the European Union and its candidate countries (thus Turkey is a leading participant). The championships are organised by the continent's governing body, the European Boxing Confederation (EUBC). The first edition of the men's tournament took place in 2003 in Strasbourg, France and the women's in 2006 in Porto Torres, Italy. The men's tournament was held annually from 2003 to 2009 and every four years since 2014, while the women's tournament was held annually from 2006 to 2011 and every four years since 2013. The Women’s European Boxing Championships was hosted and organised by the Dutch Boxing Association in the Netherlands in 2011.
