Nothing Lasts Forever (Tribe Of Gypsies EP)
''Nothing Lasts Forever'' is a 6-song mini-album by San Fernando Valley, California-based Latin Rock band Tribe of Gypsies. It is the second and final release with Dean Ortega (ex-Neverland) on lead vocals. After releasing their debut album ''Tribe Of Gypsies'' the previous year, JVC/Victor Entertainment was eager to issue a new product in anticipation of the band's 1997 tour of Japan with former Iron Maiden vocalist Bruce Dickinson who also used ToG members Roy Z, Eddie Casillas, and David Ingraham as backing musicians in his solo band. As a result, the band came up with this mini-album consisting of 4 original songs and covers of '' I'm A Man'', written by Steve Winwood and Jimmy Miller for the Spencer Davis Group's 1967 album of the same name, and '' Oh Well'', written by Peter Green and first released on Fleetwood Mac's 1969 album ''Then Play On''. Roy Z and percussionist Doug Van Booven also cut a vastly different arrangement of ''Oh Well'' with former David Lee Roth ...

Sheehan has been voted "Best Rock Bass Player" five times in ''Guitar Player'' readers' polls. Career Early years Billy Sheehan's first electric bass was a Hagström FB, which was soon joined by a Precision bass. After acquiring the Precision bass, he removed the frets from the Hagström. Over the years, he heavily modified the Precision bass as well, scalloping the five highest frets, adding a neck pickup and additional support for the bolt-on neck, which Sheehan considers the instrument's greatest weakness. The neck pickup was added for what Sheehan referred to as "super deep low end" modelled after Paul Samwell-Smith ...

Then Play On
''Then Play On'' is the third studio album by the British blues rock band Fleetwood Mac, released on 19 September 1969. It was the first of their original albums to feature Danny Kirwan (although he is also listed on two tracks on the earlier compilation ''The Pious Bird of Good Omen'') and the last with Peter Green. Jeremy Spencer did not feature on the album apart from "a couple of piano things" (according to Mick Fleetwood in ''Q'' magazine in 1990). The album offered a broader stylistic range than the straightforward electric blues of the group's first two albums, displaying elements of folk rock, hard rock, art rock and psychedelia. The album reached No. 6 on the UK Albums Chart, becoming the band's fourth Top 20 LP in a row, as well as their third album to reach the Top 10. The album's title, ''Then Play On'', is taken from the opening line of William Shakespeare's play ''Twelfth Night''—"If music be the food of love, play on". ''Then Play On'' is Fleetwood Mac's first ...
