Daniël Noteboom
Daniël Noteboom (26 February 1910 – 12 January 1932) was a Dutch chess player. He gained notice at the 1930 Chess Olympiad at Hamburg, scoring 11½/15, including a win against Salo Flohr. Chess biography Noteboom was born in Noordwijk. He learned to play chess at the age of 12, and at 14 won a local tournament in Noordwijk. At the age of 15 he was admitted to the Leiden Chess Society, following a special dispensation from the secretary of the club – at the time chess clubs were generally reserved for adult men with social standing and he was supposed to be too young to be included. Erin Bow (born April 1, 1972), born Erin Noteboom, is an American-born Canadian author. Biography Early life Erin Noteboom was born in Des Moines, Iowa, and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. She had one sibling, a younger sister named Wendy. As a child, she was interested in science, writing, and exploring the woods. In her eighth grade year, Noteboom moved from a suburb in Des Moines to a suburb in Omaha. She then attended Mercy High School and graduated in 1990. In high school, she founded the math club and was the captain of the debate team. She graduated from Creighton University, where she studied physics as a major and writing as a minor. Joseph Noteboom (born June 19, 1995) is an American football offensive tackle for the Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at TCU. Early life and career Noteboom was born in Plano, Texas. He attended Plano Senior High School, where he played football and ice hockey. He verbally committed to Texas Christian University in the summer before his senior year at Plano, during which he earned All-District honors for the Wildcats. At TCU, Noteboom redshirted in his first season on campus in Fort Worth and played in 13 games as a reserve in 2014. He became the Horned Frogs' starting right tackle as a sophomore in 2015 before shifting to left tackle for his junior and senior seasons. Henricus Antonius Cornelis Marie "Harrij" Notenboom (31 August 1926 – 9 August 2023) was a Dutch politician. He served as member of the House of Representatives from 1963 to 1979 and in the European Parliament from 1971 to 1984. Notenboom was a member of the Catholic People's Party and later the Christian Democratic Appeal when the former had merged into it in 1980. Cees Nooteboom (; born 31 July 1933) is a Dutch novelist, poet and journalist. After the attention received by his novel ''Rituelen'' (''Rituals'', 1980), which received the Pegasus Prize, it was the first of his novels to be translated into an English edition, published in 1983 by Louisiana State University Press of the United States. LSU Press published his first two novels in English in the following years, as well as other works through 1990. Harcourt (now Houghton Mifflin Harcourt) and Grove Press have since published some of his works in English. Hans Peter Nooteboom (born 1934) was a Dutch botanist, pteridologist, plant taxonomist, and journal editor. Biography Born in the Dutch East Indies, Hans Nooteboom with his family returned in 1939 to the Netherlands, where he remained during WWII. After graduation from secondary school in Rotterdam, he studied biology at Leiden University. There he studied under van Steenis and Robert Hegnauer and graduated with MSc.
