Nosaby IF
Nosaby IF is a Swedish football club located in Nosaby in Kristianstad, Skåne County. Background Nosaby Idrottsförening was formed in 1956. Their first home ground was Vallbjörka, which was located between Balsbyvägen and the Nosaby canal and had previously been used by Araslövs IK, a club that existed between 1933 and 1954. Upon Nosaby IF's foundation they immediately planned on building a new ground. Nosaby made their debut in the Swedish league system in 1959 and moved to Nya Vallbjörka a year later. Until 1997, they had always played in the two lowest divisions organised by Skånes Fotbollförbund. From 1996 to 1999, starting at the bottom of the league system, Nosaby achieved three promotions in four seasons and qualified for Division 4, the highest of the divisions organised at district level. In 2006, they were promoted to Division 3 and thus qualified to play in the leagues organised by the Swedish Football Association for the first time. They were promoted to Divisi ...

Nosaby Level Crossing Disaster
The Nosaby level crossing accident ( sv, Järnvägsolyckan i Nosaby or ''Tågolyckan i Nosaby'') occurred on 10 September 2004 at 9.07 a.m. in Nosaby in Kristianstad Municipality, Sweden. Accident Train 357 bound for Malmö left Karlskrona at 7.33 a.m. According to witnesses, a truck was going to pass the level crossing near Nosaby Church exactly when the barriers went down at 9.00 a.m. The train crashed into the truck trailer and the pellets which were loaded in the trailer flew out. The truck was thrown forward and crashed into another truck that was waiting for the barriers to go up. The first railcar derailed completely and rotated 180°. The second and third also derailed, destroying the rail and the embankment. The two drivers who were at the front of the train (one on duty, one off) died and 47 passengers were injured. Kristianstad Municipality (''Kristianstads kommun'') is a municipality in Scania County in southernmost Sweden. Its seat is located in the city Kristianstad. The present municipality was created in three steps during the last nationwide local government reform, and it has the largest area of the municipalities of Skåne County.
