Norwood Teague
Norwood Teague (born 1965) is the former athletic director at the University of Minnesota. Early career Teague graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC) in 1988 with a B.A. in political science and later earned a master's degree in sports administration from Ohio University in 1992. At UNC, Teague was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha. He then worked in the athletics departments at the University of Virginia from 1993 to 1998, Arizona State University from 1999 to 2001, and as the associate athletic director for marketing and promotions at North Carolina from 2001 to 2006. In July 2006, Teague was hired as the athletics director at Virginia Commonwealth University. Mark Coyle
Mark Coyle (born 1969) is the 23rd Athletics director, director of athletics at the University of Minnesota, replacing Norwood Teague. He resigned as the athletics director at Syracuse University in May 2016 after spending only 11 months with the Syracuse Orange. Prior to this position, Coyle was the athletics director at Boise State University (2011-15), a deputy athletics director at the University of Kentucky (2006-11), and an associate athletics director at Minnesota (2001-05). Career At Syracuse, two of his programs won national titles and five won ACC championships. The Minnesota Golden Gophers (commonly shortened to Gophers) are the college sports teams of the University of Minnesota. The university fields a total of 25 (12 men's, 13 women's) teams in both men's and women's sports and competes in the Big Ten Conference. The Gophers women's ice hockey team is a six-time NCAA champion and seven-time national champion. In women's ice hockey, the Gophers belong to the Western Collegiate Hockey Association. In all other sports, they belong to the Big Ten Conference. Most of the facilities that the teams use for training and competitive play are located on the East Bank of the Minneapolis campus. The VCU Rams are the athletic teams of Virginia Commonwealth University of Richmond, Virginia, United States. The Rams compete in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association as members of the Atlantic 10 Conference.
