Norwegian Football Cup 1947
The 1947 Norwegian Football Cup was the 42nd season of the Norwegian annual knockout football tournament. The tournament was open for all members of NFF, except those from Northern Norway. The final was played at Brann Stadion in Bergen on 19 October 1947, and Skeid secured their first title with a 2-0 win against Viking. Skeid had previously played two cup finals but lost both in 1939 and 1940, while it was Viking's second appearance in the final, having previously lost in 1933. Lyn were the defending champions, but were eliminated by Brann in the fourth round. Football Association Of Norway
The Norwegian Football Federation ( nb, Norges Fotballforbund, nn, Noregs Fotballforbund; NFF) is the governing body of football in Norway. It was formed in 1902 and organises the men's and women's national teams, as well as the league systems for men and women (whose top levels are respectively the Eliteserien and Toppserien). The current president of NFF is Lise Klaveness. By 1 January 2004, there were 1,814 clubs organized in Norway and 373,532 registered players. It is the largest sports federation in Norway. The NFF joined FIFA in 1908, and UEFA in 1954. The NFF was part of an unsuccessful joint bid with the SvFF, the DBU and the SPL to host the UEFA Euro 2008 championship. The SvFF invited the NFF to join them in bidding for the UEFA Euro 2016 championship. The NFF and Norwegian politicians expressed support for such a proposal, but Euro 2016 was eventually awarded to France. Askim FK
Askim Fotballklubb was a Norwegian association football club from Askim, Østfold. It was founded on 21 November 1989 as a breakout entity of the multi-sports club Askim IF. On 1 January 2020 Askim FK gave way to the new club Askim Fotball as a result of a merger with Korsgård IF (founded 1984). The men's football team last played in the 2019 5. divisjon, the sixth tier of Norwegian football. Throughout the 1990s it was an unstable 3. divisjon club (fourth tier), being relegated in 1993, 1996, 1999, and later also in 2004, 2010 and 2013. Sportsklubben Falken is a Norwegian speed skating club from Trondheim. The club was founded in 1925. It formerly had sections for association football, track and field, orienteering, Nordic skiing, ice hockey and dancing. The club was a member of the Workers' Sports Federation before the war. Egersunds Idrettsklubb, commonly known as Egersund or EIK, is a Norwegian sports club from Egersund in Rogaland. The club has sections for football, handball and athletics, and is most known for its football team, which plays in the 2. divisjon, the third tier of the Norwegian football league system. History The inhabitants of Egersund first started playing football late in the 19th century, after influence from the English pottery-workers in the city. Sandefjord Ballklubb is a Norwegian football club from Sandefjord, currently playing in Norwegian Fourth Division, the fifth tier in the Norwegian football league system. The club was founded on 27 February 1917. Their home matches are played at Storstadion in Sandefjord. History Sandefjord Ballklubb was established in 1917 under the name ''Sportsklubben Frem''. Sportsklubben Djerv is a sports club from Møhlenpris, Bergen in Norway. The club was founded on 18 May 1913, and today it has sections for football, floorball, badminton, basketball and gymnastics. The club had an ice hockey department until 1985. History The club was founded on 18 May 1913 by boys from the Møhlenpris neighbourhood in Bergen. Bækkelagets Sportsklub is a Norwegian sports club from Bekkelaget in southern Oslo, founded in 1909. The club has sections for skiing (including ski jumping and biathlon), orienteering, handball, football, floorball and track and field athletics, previously also bandy. It is known for organizing one of the world's largest youth football tournaments, Norway Cup. Handball The club consists of 850 active handball players. The women's handball team won the Women's EHF Cup Winner's Cup in 1997/1998, and again in 1998/1999. The club also reached the final in EHF Women's Champions Trophy the same two seasons. Brodd Fotballklubb is a Norwegian football club from Stavanger. The club was founded on 25 April 1913 as ''BK Brodd''. It participated in competitions for the first time in 1915, and reached the inaugural League of Norway in 1937–38. In 1940 it merged with the former AIF club ''Arbeidernes TIL'' and took the name ''IL Brodd''. After the Second World War, the club had sections for football, athletics, boxing, cycling, skiing and handball.
