Norwegian Township, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania Norwegian Township is a township in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 2,167 at the 2020 census. Geography According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 5.9 square miles (15.4 km), of which 5.8 square miles (15.1 km) is land and 0.1 square mile (0.2 km) (1.52%) is water. Demographics At the 2000 census there were 2,172 people, 861 households, and 632 families living in the township. The population density was 371.9 people per square mile (143.6/km).
