County Road 828 ( no, Fylkesvei 828) is a road in Nordland County, Norway. It is also locally named ''Hæstadveien'' (Hæstad Road), ''Seløyveien'' (Seløy Road), ''Brunsvikveien'' (Brunsvik Road), ''Nord-Herøyveien'' (North Herøy Road), ''Sør-Herøyveien'' (South Herøy Road), ''Fagervikveien'' (Fagervik Road), and ''Flostadveien'' (Flostad Road). The road runs from the ferry terminal at the village of Bjørn in the municipality of Dønna along the south coast of the island of Dønna, passing through the village of Hestad. At the southern part of the island, it crosses the Åkviksundet Bridge and passes over several small islands, including Staulen, Skardsøya, Kjeøya, and Hestøya, before reaching the island of Nord-Herøy in the municipality of Herøy. The Åkviksundet Bridge ( no, Åkviksundet bru) is a box girder bridge that crosses the Åkviksundet strait between the islands of Dønna and Staulen in Nordland county, Norway. Together with the Hoholmen Bridge, it forms the road connection between the municipalities of Herøy and Dønna. Staulen
Staulen is an island in the municipality of Herøy in Nordland county, Norway. The island just southwest of the large island of Dønna. The settlements on the island include the villages of Nordstaulen, Sørstaulen, and Sandvikja. The ''Åkviksundet'' (Åkvik Strait) lies between the islands of Staulen and Dønna and the Åkviksundet Bridge and Norwegian County Road 828 connect the two islands. The road continues south through Staulen before crossing various smaller islands, including Landvindsøya, Skardsøya, and Kjeøya, before crossing the Hoholmen Bridge on its way to the island of Nord-Herøy. Dønna is the largest island in Dønna Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. The island lies off the west coast of the mainland of Helgeland, Norway. The islands of Løkta and Tomma lie northeast of the island, the islands of Vandve and Åsvær lie to the west, and the islands of Herøy and Alsta lie to the south. The island is the main island of the municipality where most of the municipal residents live. In 2017, there were about 1,235 residents on the island.
