Northland (often known as the Northland Taniwha) are a New Zealand professional rugby union team based in Whangārei, New Zealand. The union was originally established in 1920, with the National Provincial Championship established in 1976. They now play in the reformed National Provincial Championship competition. They play their home games at Semenoff Stadium in Whangārei in the Northland region. The team is affiliated with the Blues Super Rugby franchise. Their home playing colours are sky blue. Northland Rugby Union
The Northland Rugby Union is the governing body for rugby union in Northland, New Zealand; Northland is a region of New Zealand that covers areas in the districts of Far North, Kaipara, and Whangārei. Established in 1920, they represent the Bunnings NPC side, Northland Taniwha, and Farah Palmer Cup side, Northland Kauri. It is also affiliated with the Blues Super Rugby franchise. Conán O'Donnell
Conán F. O'Donnell (born 23 May 1996) is a rugby union player from Ireland. He plays as a prop. Early life O'Donnell was born in Sligo. In his youth he played a number of sports, including Gaelic football and hurling. He first played rugby with Strandhill based club, Sligo RFC. Initially a winger, O'Donnell switched to prop at under 11 level. O'Donnell was a pupil of Summerhill College in Sligo town and played rugby for the school team. He received his third level education in NUI Galway, studying commerce. While there, he played for the university rugby team. Josh Goodhue
Joshua K. Goodhue (born 13 June 1995) is a New Zealand rugby union player. Early career Goodhue was raised on a farm in the Northland Region of New Zealand along with older brother Cameron and twin brother Jack, who would both also go on to become professional rugby union players. He attended Mount Albert Grammar School in Auckland where he captained their top side to 17 victories in 20 games during the 2013 season. After finishing school, he took a short break to visit brother Cameron who was playing for Worcester Warriors in England at the time. Allan Leggat Craig (7 February 1904 – 1984) was a Scottish footballer who played as a centre half for Motherwell, Chelsea and Scotland. Career Club Craig played junior football for Saltcoats Victoria until he signed for Motherwell in 1924. Matthew Gary Moulds (born 15 May 1991) is a New Zealand rugby union player who currently plays as a hooker for in the Bunnings NPC. He has also previously represented New Zealand at rugby sevens.
