Rutherford School, Paddington
Rutherford School was a secondary modern school, later comprehensive school, in Paddington, London, England. It opened in 1960 and in 1981 amalgamated with Sarah Siddons Girls' School and Paddington School to form the North Westminster Community School. The site is now occupied by the Ark King Solomon Academy. It was built from 1958 to 1960, designed by the architects Leonard Manasseh and Ian Baker, and is a Grade II* listed building. Paddington School
Paddington is an area within the City of Westminster, in Central London. First a medieval parish then a metropolitan borough, it was integrated with Westminster and Greater London in 1965. History Paddington Academy opened in September 2006 as one of two new academies (along with Westminster Academy) established to replace North Westminster Community School. King Solomon Academy is a non-selective, non-denominational, mixed all-through school within the English academy programme, located in Marylebone, London. It occupies the site of the former Rutherford School. History The Rutherford School was built from 1958 to 1960, designed by the architect Leonard Manasseh, and is a Grade II* listed building.
