North Texas United
DFW Tornados (also known as Dallas–Fort Worth Tornados) was an American soccer team based in Dallas, Texas, United States. Founded in 1986, the team played in the USL Premier Development League (PDL), the fourth tier of the American Soccer Pyramid, in the Mid South Division of the Southern Conference. The franchise folded at the end of the 2010 season and left the league thereafter. The team played its home games at Pizza Hut Park (the home of Major League Soccer's FC Dallas) in nearby Frisco, Texas. The team's colors were black, blue and white. History In 1986, the club, known as Garland Genesis, based in Garland, Texas, became a founding member of the Southwest Indoor Soccer League. The team topped the standings during the 1986-1987 season before defeating the Lubbock Lazers in the championship game. The Colorado Comets were an American soccer club based in Denver, Colorado founded in 1985 which later competed in the SISL and USISL. History Founded by Ed Eid in 1985, the team began as an amateur club coached by Kelvin Norman. That year, they lost to the Mitre Eagles of Seattle, Washington in the semifinals of the National Amateur Indoor Championship. In 1989, the Comets entered the Southwest Outdoor Soccer League, winning the championship that year. Eid coached the team, winning Coach of the Year honors and Norman was selected as the league MVP. In October 1989, Norman returned to the position of head coach. Despite winning three titles, the Comets began having financial difficulties in 1991. Bryce Taylor (soccer)
Bryce Taylor (born March 19, 1989 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma) is an American soccer player. Career Taylor played college soccer at Rogers State University between 2007 and 2010. During his time at RSU, Taylor also played with USL Premier Development League club DFW Tornados between 2009 and 2010. After leaving college, Taylor stayed in the USL Premier Development League, signing with Mississippi Brilla for the 2011 season. Taylor signed his first professional contract with USL Pro club Wilmington Hammerheads in February 2012. In October 2013, he joined the Tulsa Revolution of the Professional Arena Soccer League.
