North Rockhampton State High School is a co-educational State High School at Beserker Street, Frenchville, Rockhampton, Queensland, Australia. It currently has over 1000 students enrolled and over 80 teaching staff. North Rockhampton High School is currently an academy of excellence in hockey. To its members, the school is commonly referred to as 'North Rocky'. History North Rockhampton State High School was founded in 1956, initially renting rooms from two churches and a nearby business when the school buildings were not completed in time for the start of the school year. ABC Radio Brisbane (callsign: 4QR) is an ABC Local Radio station in Brisbane, Queensland. Spencer Howson
Spencer Howson (born 9 March 1972 in England) is an Australian radio presenter. He was the host of ''Breakfast'' on 612 ABC Brisbane and when he resigned he had worked for the ABC for 25 years. Career 1990-2016 Howson's family migrated to Australia in 1981, settling in Brisbane. He obtained a Bachelor of Business (Communication) – Journalism (1989 - 1991) at the Queensland University of Technology. Spencer's first radio experience was at Brisbane community station 4RPH, part of the Australia-wide Radio Print Handicapped Network, from 1990 to 1993. In 1991, at the age of 19, Spencer was elected Vice President of the 4RPH board of directors. Craig Zonca (born 1984) is an Australian radio and television presenter. He is currently a breakfast presenter on ABC Radio Brisbane and a weather presenter on ABC Television. Frenchville is a suburb of Rockhampton in the Rockhampton Region, Queensland, Australia. In the , Frenchville had a population of 9,028 people. Geography Situated at the base of Mount Archer in the Berserker Range about seven kilometres to the north of the Fitzroy River, the district was named for French botanist Anthelme Thozet, first director of the Rockhampton Botanic Gardens in the 1860s. Thozet established the second hotel in Rockhampton, the Alliance, but driven by a never failing professional interest in botany he commenced researching native Australian plants used by indigenous people of Northern Queensland, Australia including the Darumbal clans around Rockhampton.
