In 1979, a second passenger berth opened that is located west of the older one. Hung Hom Ferry Pier
Hung Hom Ferry Pier () is a ferry pier in Hung Hom, Kowloon, Hong Kong. It is at the reclaimed Hung Hom Bay at the south of Lily Mansion (Phase 9), Whampoa Garden. History The original pier, opened in 1979 using Streamline Moderne design from the Star Ferry terminals at Central and Tsim Sha Tsui, was located near the Hung Hom Station, close to the current position of Metropolis Tower. In 1988, the pier was temporarily relocated to the seaside of Hunghom Bay Centre to cope with Hung Hom Bay Reclamation Project. When the project was completed in 1991, the pier was moved to the current location. It opened in March 1991. Discovery Bay (DB) is a resort town on Lantau Island, Hong Kong. It consists of mixed, primarily residential, development, in particular upmarket residential development and private and public recreational facilities, including garden houses, low-, mid- and high-rise residential developments, a 27-hole golf course, an ice rink, a 262-berth marina, two clubhouses, the first private manmade beach in Hong Kong, international schools, two shopping malls and the largest oceanfront alfresco dining area in Hong Kong. Mui Wo
Mui Wo is a rural town on the eastern coast of Lantau Island in Hong Kong. The 2011 Census recorded 5,485 people living in Mui Wo and its environs. Mui Wo is located on Silvermine Bay, so named for the silver mines that were once worked along the Silver River () which flows through the village. The main beach in Mui Wo is known as Silver Mine Bay Beach (). The town is known for the feral water buffalos and cows that roam the area. Prior to the Airport Core Programme and the subsequent development of Tung Chung and North Lantau into a new town, Mui Wo was the principal point for day-trippers setting out to explore Lantau Island. Kowloon City Ferry Pier () is a ferry pier in Ma Tau Kok, Kowloon, Hong Kong. It is at the north of Hoi Sham Park and the east of East Kowloon Corridor. History The pier started operation in 1956 and was the first permanent pier in Hong Kong built after World War II. Ma Tau Kok Road Old apartments Ma Tau Kok () is a place north of To Kwa Wan, south-east of modern-day Ma Tau Chung and south-west of the former Kai Tak Airport (now Kai Tak Development) in Hong Kong. Hung Hom () is an area in the southeast of Kowloon Peninsula, Hong Kong.
