North High School (Eastlake, Ohio)
North High School is a public high school in Eastlake, Ohio. It is one of two high schools in the Willoughby-Eastlake City School District. The school was created when the Willoughby Union High School was split into North High School and South High School. At the beginning of the 2019 school year, North opened their new high school on the site of the former baseball fields. The old North was razed and new baseball fields and practice fields for soccer and football were built on the site. About 20 minutes east of Cleveland, Eastlake North High School is located close to Classic Park, home of the Lake County Captains. The current enrollment is approximately 1200 students. Western Reserve Conference
The Western Reserve Conference is an OHSAA athletics conference that began with the 2015-16 school year. The name is resurrected from three previous incarnations that most recently folded in 2007 when the Northeast Ohio Conference was created. Members (2015-) History The conference is named after the Connecticut Western Reserve, which historically included most of Northeast Ohio. There have been three previous athletic conferences in the region that used the name "Western Reserve". The Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) is the governing body of athletic programs for junior and senior high schools in the state of Ohio. Lake County Captains
The Lake County Captains are a Minor League Baseball team in Eastlake, Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland, that plays in the Midwest League as the High-A affiliate of the Cleveland Guardians. The Captains joined the Class A Midwest League following the 2009 season in a shuffle caused by the Columbus Catfish's move to Bowling Green, Kentucky, for the 2009 season. The move alleviated travel costs and time, as it was the South Atlantic League's northernmost team. Prior to the 2003 season, the club was based in Columbus, Georgia, and known as the Columbus RedStixx. The Captains play their home games in Classic Park, which has a capacity of 6,157 and opened in 2003 as Eastlake Stadium. South High School is a public high school in Willoughby, Ohio. It is one of two high schools in the Willoughby-Eastlake City School District. The school was created when the Willoughby Union High School was split into South High and North High School.
