Shane Harvey
Shane Harvey is a former Australian rules footballer. Career He was drafted by the Essendon Football Club in the 2001 AFL Draft at pick 18 in the first round from the Northern Knights. He played 11 games with Essendon before being delisted after the 2003 season. The Kangaroos picked him at pick 6 of the 2004 Pre-Season Draft after they had promised his brother Brent Harvey that they would select Shane if he was available. He played 3 games for the Kangaroos and finished his AFL career at the end of the 2004 season. He has since played for country and suburban clubs, including Wakool Football Club in the Golden Rivers Football League, in which he helped Wakool win the premiership in 2006, and then North Heidelberg Football Club in 2008 and 2009. Brent Harvey
Brent Harvey (born 14 May 1978), often known by his nickname "Boomer", is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the North Melbourne Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He holds the record for most matches played by an individual in VFL/AFL history, breaking Michael Tuck's previous VFL/AFL record in 2016 with a total of 432 games played. Career Drafted by the North Melbourne Football Club in the third round of the 1995 AFL Draft, Harvey played in his only premiership side in 1999 after earning an E. J. The Northern Football Netball League (formerly known as the Diamond Valley Football League and later Northern Football League) is an Australian sports league based in the Diamond Valley region of suburban Melbourne, Victoria. The league regulates competitions of both sports, Australian rules football and netball in the region. History The league was founded in 1922, originally having six clubs, three of whom still participate. In 1941 the league went into recess for five years as a result of World War II, the competition recommencing in 1946. After the war the league continued to grow. Heidelberg West is a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 10 km north-east of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Banyule local government area. Heidelberg Heights recorded a population of 5,252 at the 2021 census. Suburb Heidelberg West contains ''The Mall'', an open style shopping centre constructed during the 1950s. Ross Dunne
Ross 'Twiggy' Dunne (born 25 February 1948) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the Collingwood Football Club in the Australian Football League, Victorian Football League (VFL). He became famous for kicking the goal in the dying minutes of the 1977 VFL Grand Final to draw the game. Nicknamed after the famous British Twiggy, model due to his slim frame, Dunne was a versatile, no-fuss player who spent much of his career at centre half-forward. Dunne made his senior VFL debut in the final round of the 1967 VFL season against at Moorabbin Oval, lining up on champion full back Bob Murray (Australian footballer), Bob Murray. Jason Heatley (born 21 February 1972) is a former Australian rules football full-forward, who played for and during the 1990s. Jake King (born 26 March 1984) is a former Australian rules footballer for the Richmond Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Jamie Shaw (footballer)
Jamie Shaw (born 19 February 1966) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for Preston in the Victorian Football Association (VFA) and Fitzroy in the Victorian Football League (VFL). A former Keon Park player, Shaw made his VFA debut for Preston in the 1985 season. He became a prolific full forward, and in 1986 won the VFL's leading goal-kicker award, now known as the Jim 'Frosty' Miller Medal, with 145 goals, including eighteen goals in one match against Camberwell. In 1987, Shaw moved to Fitzroy in the VFL. In his debut against Geelong at Princes Park and equaled Max George's club record of five goals on debut. Robert Powell (footballer)
Robert Powell (born 19 March 1976) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with Richmond Football Club and St Kilda in the Australian Football League (AFL). After spending a year on Collingwood's list, where he played in the reserves, Powell was traded to Richmond in a swap for Matthew Francis. Powell, a forward, had to wait until round 15 of the 1996 AFL season to make it into the Richmond seniors. On debut, against Melbourne, he was unable to kick a goal but instead registered five behinds. He still finished the year with 15 goals, five of which came in a win over Geelong.
