The North Harbour International (also known as North Shore City International) is an open international badminton tournament in New Zealand. This was the first international tournament hosted on the North Shore of Auckland. This tournament organized by Badminton North Harbour with sanctioned by Badminton Oceania and Badminton World Federation. Huang Chia-chi
Huang Chia-chi (; born 26 January 1979) is a Taiwanese badminton player who competed for the Chinese Taipei at the 1996 and 2000 Summer Olympics. Huang later represented Australia in the international tournament, and competed at the 2010 Commonwealth Games. She has won the New Zealand Open and Australian Open in 2004 and 2006. Huang was awarded as the Sportswomen of the Year by the Badminton Victoria in 2006 and 2007. Her sister Huang Chia-hsin is also a badminton player. Rei Sato (badminton)
is a Japanese badminton player from the NTT East team. Born in Miyagi, he graduated from Saitama Sakae High School, and later educated at the Nippon Sport Science University. He was part of the national junior team that won the bronze medal at the 2007 Asian Junior Championships. Teamed-up with Naomasa Senkyo, they won the men's doubles title at the North Shore City and Waikato International tournaments. Sato also clinched the men's singles title at the 2014 Portugal International tournament. Laura Molina Fernández (born 13 September 1988) is a Spanish badminton player. She played at the 2005 World Badminton Championships in Anaheim. In the women's singles event she retired in her first round match. She trailed Yip Pui Yin of Hong Kong 1-11, 0-7 when she decided to end the match. In the mixed doubles event (partnering Carlos Longo) she also lost in the first round.
