North Florida College
North Florida College is a public community college in Madison, Florida. It is part of the Florida College System. It enrolls around 1,200 students and serves six rural counties in North Florida: Madison, Hamilton, Lafayette, Jefferson, Suwannee, and Taylor. The school was founded as North Florida Junior College in 1957, with classes beginning the following year. It merged with the historically black Suwannee River Junior College in 1966. In July 1995, the District Board of Trustees changed the institution's name to North Florida Community College. Its current name was adopted in 2019. The Miss Florida competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Florida in the Miss America pageant. Florida has twice won the Miss America crown. In the fall of 2018, the Miss America Organization terminated Miss Florida organization's license as well as licenses from Georgia, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and West Virginia. Kylie Williams is a beauty queen from Jasper, Florida who has competed in the Miss America pageant. After winning the Miss Tallahassee title, Williams went on to compete in and win the Miss Florida 2007 pageant. Prior to this, she had competed in Miss Florida every year since 2003. Jesse William Solomon (born November 4, 1963) is a former American football linebacker in the National Football League (NFL) for the Minnesota Vikings, Dallas Cowboys, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Atlanta Falcons, and Miami Dolphins.
