Terry Fenton
Terry Fenton (born July 1, 1940) is a Canadian artist, author, critic, and curator known for his landscape paintings, his support of modernist art, and his writing on the work of artists such as Jack Bush, Anthony Caro, Peter Hide, Dorothy Knowles, Ken Macklin, Kenneth Noland, Jules Olitski, and William Perehudoff. Fenton is the former director of the Edmonton Art Gallery (1972 - 1987), the A.C. Leighton Foundation, Calgary (1987 - 1993) and the Mendel Art Gallery, Saskatoon (1993 - 1997). Since 2013, Fenton has resided in Victoria, British Columbia. Education Terry Fenton was born in Regina, Saskatchewan in 1940, and studied at Regina College's School of Fine Art (now University of Regina) from 1958–1960, with Ronald Bloore, Roy Kiyooka, and Arthur McKay. Canadian artist-run centres (ARC or ARCs) are galleries and art spaces developed by artists in Canada since the 1960s. Artist-run centre is the common term of use for artist-initiated and managed organizations in Canada. Robert Willms
Robert Byron Willms (born 1969) is a Canadian sculptor and teacher, best known for creating assembled, abstract steel sculptures. Biography Willms was born in Abbotsford, British Columbia in 1969 and resides in Edmonton, Alberta.He has lived in Fort St. John, Dawson Creek, Grande Prairie, and Kamloops, which he considers his hometown. Robert's father, John Willms, while working as a welder, encouraged his son to consider the ironworking trade, but Robert initially disliked the idea of such work. At eighteen years old, Willms was injured in a motorcycle accident, resulting in a below-knee amputation of one leg. Ever adaptable, Willms defied this disability as an avid snowboarder and cyclist.
