The North Coast Conference will be a high school athletic conference for private schools in Greater Cleveland, Ohio. The conference will begin play in the 2024–25 school year. OHSAA
The Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) is the governing body of athletic programs for junior and senior high schools in the state of Ohio. The OHSAA governs eligibility of student athletes, resolves disputes, organizes levels of competition by divisional separation of schools according to attendance population, and conducts state championship competitions in all the OHSAA-sanctioned sports. North Coast League
The North Coast League (NCL) was a high school athletic conference for Catholic schools in Greater Cleveland, Ohio. The NCL was founded in 1984 by six parochial high schools: Cleveland Central Catholic, Holy Name, Lake Catholic, Pacua Franciscan, St. Peter Chanel, and Trinity. The league expanded throughout the 1990s and 2000s, reaching a peak of 13 members in the early-to-mid 2010s, before declining in membership. The NCL disbanded after the 2019-20 school year. The Principals Athletic Conference (PAC-7) is an Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) athletic league, formed in 1989, made up of seven schools from Stark, Summit, and Wayne counties with full membership, and one football-only member in Ashland County. The Great Lakes Conference is an OHSAA athletics conference that began play with the 2015-16 school year. The following are members: Members League history As part of a significant realignment in Cleveland-area high school leagues at the time, the Great Lakes Conference was formed in 2015 by seven schools that were located in Cleveland's west suburbs and had similar competition levels. Normandy, Parma, and Valley Forge came from the former Northeast Ohio Conference, Bay, Elyria Catholic, and Rocky River came from the former West Shore Conference, and Holy Name came from the North Coast League. The league added Buckeye and Fairview in 2019. The Crown Conference is a high school athletic conference for Catholic schools in Greater Cleveland, Ohio. The conference began play in fall 2021 and will disband in June 2024. Members Former member History The Crown Conference was established on September 21, 2020, by six Cleveland-area high schools: Beaumont, Lake Catholic, Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin (NDCL), Padua Franciscan, Villa Angela-St. Joseph (VASJ), and Walsh Jesuit. All six schools were members of the former North Coast League, which disbanded earlier in 2020. The league began play in all sports in the 2021-22 school year. As Beaumont is an all-girls school, the conference fields five members in boys sports and six in girls' sports.
