North Arkansas Community College
North Arkansas College (Northark) is a public community college in Harrison, Arkansas. It serves the citizens of Boone, Carroll, Marion, Searcy, Newton, and Madison counties in northern Arkansas. Northark has two campuses in Harrison and one in Berryville, Arkansas. Academics Northark offers an Associate of Arts degree, an Associate of Science degree in seven fields designed for students planning to transfer to a four-year institution. Northark offers sixteen majors for students earning an Associate of Applied Science, designed to lead to employment. The college also offers 23 technical certificates and 22 certificates of proficiency. Students and staff Northark has an enrollment of 40% male and 60% female. Seventy-five percent of Northark students receive some form of financial aid. Fall 2016 headcount enrollment was 1,889. The ''Arkansas Democrat-Gazette'' is the newspaper of record in the U.S. state of Arkansas, printed in Little Rock with a northwest edition published in Lowell. It is distributed for sale in all 75 of Arkansas' counties. By virtue of one of its predecessors, the ''Arkansas Gazette'' (founded in 1819), it claims to be the oldest continuously published newspaper west of the Mississippi River.
