Stiftelsen Norsk Luftambulanse ("Norwegian Air Ambulance Foundation", NLA) is a Norway, Norwegian humanitarian organisation, organised as a non-profit foundation (nonprofit), foundation. Trondheim Heliport, Rosten
Trondheim Heliport, Rosten (; no, Trondheim helikopterplass, Rosten) is a heliport situated in Vestre Rosten in the Tiller neighborhood of Trondheim Norway. Used exclusively for air ambulance missions, it serves as a base for a Eurocopter EC-135P2+ operated by Norsk Luftambulanse (NLA) on contract with the National Air Ambulance Service. The original heliport was situated at Brøset Hospital and opened in 1988. The base moved to Vestre Rosten in the mid 1990s. History Trøndelag was amongst the areas in Norway with the best coverage of Westland Sea King search and rescue helicopters following the establishment of the 330 Squadron at Ørland Main Air Station in 1973. The first helicopter ambulance service in Trondheim was established by Lufttransport in February 1981. Ruth Ryste
Ruth Anlaug Ryste (24 July 1932 – 21 September 2023) was a Norwegian trade unionist and politician for the Labour Party. Ryste was born in Bamble. She finished commerce school in 1950, and from 1950 to 1970 she worked with welfare in Bamble municipality. She was a deputy member of Bamble municipal council from 1967 to 1971. From 1970 to 1973 she was a secretary in the trade union Norwegian Civil Service Union, and also supervisory board member of the Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions from 1969 to 1975. Swiss Air-Rescue (German: ''Schweizerische Rettungsflugwacht'', French: ''Garde aérienne suisse de sauvetage'', Italian: ''Guardia aerea svizzera di soccorso'', Rega) is a private, non-profit air rescue service that provides emergency medical assistance in Switzerland and Liechtenstein. Rega was established on 27 April 1952 by Dr Rudolf Bucher, who believed the Swiss rescue organization needed a specialized air sub-section. Førde Heliport, University Hospital (; no, Førde helikopterplass, Sentralsykehuset) is a heliport situated on the premises of Førde Central Hospital in the Vie neighborhood of Sunnfjord, Norway. Used exclusively for air ambulance services, it is home to a Eurocopter EC-135P2+ operated by Norsk Luftambulanse (NLA) on contract with the National Air Ambulance Service. The base is owned by Førde Hospital Trust. When the base opened in 1992, the hospital had only a helipad, while the helicopter was based at Førde Airport, Bringeland. The operations were provided by Airlift until 2001, when NLA took over. A base at the hospital opened in 2002.
