Norman Knudson
Norman Alfred Knudson (April 30, 1874April 9, 1934) was an American businessman and Republican politician. He was a member of the Wisconsin State Senate from 1899 through 1902, representing Manitowoc and Calumet counties. Early life and war service Knudson was born on April 30, 1874, in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. He later joined the Wisconsin National Guard in 1890. At the outbreak of the Spanish–American War, he volunteered for service and was mustered as first lieutenant of Company H in the 2nd Wisconsin Infantry Regiment The 2nd Wisconsin Infantry Regiment was an infantry regiment that served in the Union Army during the American Civil War. Wisconsin's 15th State Senate District
The 15th Senate District of Wisconsin is one of 33 districts in the Wisconsin State Senate. Located in southern Wisconsin, the district comprises western Rock County, parts of eastern and northern Green County, and southeast Dane County. Calumet County is a county located in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. As of the 2020 census, the population was 52,442. The county seat is Chilton. The county was created in 1836 (then in the Wisconsin Territory) and organized in 1850. Calumet County is included in the Appleton, WI Metropolitan Statistical Area as well as the Appleton- Oshkosh-Neenah, WI Combined Statistical Area. The Wisconsin State Assembly is the lower house of the Wisconsin Legislature. Together with the smaller Wisconsin Senate, the two constitute the legislative branch of the U.S. state of Wisconsin. Representatives are elected for two-year terms, elected during the fall elections. If a vacancy occurs in an Assembly seat between elections, it may be filled only by a special election. The Wisconsin Constitution limits the size of the State Assembly to between 54 and 100 members inclusive.
