Norm Smith (footballer, Born 1946)
Norman "Norm" Smith (1 October 1946 – 21 February 2019) was an Australian rules footballer who played with Hawthorn Football Club, Hawthorn in the Victorian Football League (1897–1989), Victorian Football League (VFL). Early career and Hawthorn Smith, a ruck-rover, played his early senior football at Strathmerton Football Club, Strathmerton in the Murray Football League and won the league's best and fairest medal in 1966. The following year he made five VFL appearances for Hawthorn, then spent time away from the game on national service, before returning to Strathmerton in 1970. Goulburn Valley Football League In 1971, Smith started playing in the Goulburn Valley Football League, where he won back-to-back Morrison Medals, with Tatura Football Club, Tatura in 1974 and Shepparton Swans Football Club, Lemnos in 1975. Corowa Football Club
The Corowa Football Club, nicknamed the Spiders, was an Australian rules football club based in Corowa, New South Wales, that competed in the Ovens & Murray Football League. The club merged with the Wahgunyah Football Club on several occasions during its early history and as a result was also known as the Border United Football Club from time to time between 1877 and 1947. Then in 1979, both Corowa Football Club and Rutherglen Football Club merged to form Corowa Rutherglen Football Club and have played in the Ovens and Murray Football League ever since. The Strathmerton Football Netball Club, nicknamed the ''Bulldogs'', is an Australian rules football and netball club that was established in 1894 and has been affiliated with the Picola & District Football League since 1994. The club is based in the small Victorian town of Strathmerton at the local Recreation Reserve and fields four football teams and seven netball teams. The Rutherglen Football and Netball Club is an Australian rules football and netball club playing their home games in Rutherglen, Victoria, Australia. The current Rutherglen FNC was created after the merger of Ovens & Murray Football League sides Rutherglen Football Club (1893), Rutherglen and Corowa Football Club, Corowa in 1979. Surplus players formed the Corowa-Rutherglen Football Club, Corowa-Rutherglen FC and played in the Coreen & District Football League for 13 years. Tatura is a town in the Goulburn Valley region of Victoria, Australia, and is situated within the City of Greater Shepparton local government area, north of the state capital (Melbourne) and west of the regional centre of Shepparton. Ainslie Football Club
Ainslie Football Club is a semi-professional Australian rules football club based in Canberra, in the Australian Capital Territory. The club formed in 1927 and won its first premiership in 1929. Ex- St Kilda star Kevin Neale was captain-coach for six seasons (1978–1983), during which time Ainslie won four premierships: 1979, 1980, 1982, 1983. In 1984 Ex-Collingwood and Richmond player Rod Oborne captain-coached the club, winning the 1984 premiership. The club was also coached by former VFL/AFL great David Cloke. Chris Rourke coached Ainslie for 14 years from 2007-2020 taking the club to six premierships during that period.
