Norm Rauhaus
Norm Rauhaus (November 4, 1935 – November 26, 2018) was an award-winning and Grey Cup champion safety and flanker who played in the Canadian Football League for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers from 1956 to 1967. A native of Winnipeg, Rauhaus joined his hometown Blue Bombers in 1956 and, with 4 interceptions, was winner of the Dr. Beattie Martin Trophy for Canadian rookie of the year in the west. He played 12 seasons, intercepting 37 passes, catching 34 passes, and scoring three touchdowns; he was an All-Star in 1961. Winnipeg Blue Bombers
The Winnipeg Blue Bombers are a professional Canadian football team based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The Blue Bombers compete in the Canadian Football League (CFL) as a member club of the league's West division. They play their home games at IG Field. Safety (American And Canadian Football Position)
Safety is a position in gridiron football on the defense. The safeties are defensive backs who line up ten to fifteen yards from the line of scrimmage. There are two variations of the position: the free safety and the strong safety. Their duties depend on the defensive scheme.
