Noribumi Suzuki
, was a Japanese film director and screenwriter. He is best known for the ''Torakku Yarō'' series. Biography Suzuki was born in 1933 in Shizuoka, Shizuoka, Shizuoka. He dropped out of Ritsumeikan University's Department of Economics, and subsequently joined Toei Company, Toei's Kyoto Studio as an assistant director in 1956, learning his craft under Masahiro Makino, Tai Kato and Tomu Uchida. He made his screenwriting debut on director Kōkichi Uchide's 1963 film ''Zoku: Tenamonya Sandogasa'' (co-written with Takaharu Sawada), and his directorial debut in 1965 with ''Osaka Dokonjō Monogatari: Doerai Yatsu'', starring Makoto Fujita. At the behest of Toei producer Shigeru Okada, Suzuki wrote the script for female gambler film ''Red Peony Gambler'' (1968) starring Junko Fuji, which became a hit series spanning eight films. is the capital city of Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan, and the prefecture's second-largest city in both population and area. is a 1972 Japanese exploitation film that is directed by Norifumi Suzuki and stars lead females of the genre, Reiko Ike and Miki Sugimoto. Definition in Japanese exploitation cinema "Sukeban is a Japanese term meaning "delinquent girl", and the female equivalent to the male in Japanese culture. The usage of the word refers to either the leader of a girl gang or the entire gang itself, and is not used to refer to any one member of a ..." is a contraction of the Japanese words "suke" (female) and "bancho" (boss). The term describes a specific high school archetype which is usually (though not always) associated with juvenile delinquency. The term "zubeko" (bad girl) is no longer in vogue, but at the time these films were made was a hip slang expression that would more accurately have been translated as "bitch". Shinichiro Sawai
was a Japanese film director and screenwriter. Career Born in Hamamatsu, Sawai studied German at Tokyo University of Foreign Studies. Graduating in 1961, he joined the Toei Company as an assistant director and worked under such directors as Masahiro Makino and Noribumi Suzuki. He also collaborated on scripts such as those for the ' Truck Yarō' series. He made his debut as a director in 1981 with ''Nogiku no haka'', a vehicle for the idol singer Seiko Matsuda. He won the Directors Guild of Japan New Directors Award in 1985, and the Japan Academy Prize for Director of the Year in 1986.
