Jay Nordlinger
Jay Nordlinger (born November 21, 1963) is an American journalist. He is a senior editor of ''National Review'', and a book fellow of the National Review Institute. He is also a music critic for ''The New Criterion'' and ''The Conservative''. In the 1990s, Nordlinger worked for ''The Weekly Standard'' magazine. In the 2000s, he was music critic for the ''New York Sun''. Early life Nordlinger grew up in Ann Arbor, Michigan, which he refers to as a left-leaning "Citadel of the Left," and opines about in his political columns. His father worked in the education sector and his mother was an artist. He graduated from the University of Michigan and, for a while, attended Harvard University as a graduate student. Joseph Yuspa Nördlinger Hahn
Joseph Yuspa Nördlinger Hahn (died 1637) was a German rabbi and author. Biography He was born at Frankfurt in the latter half of the sixteenth century; died there April 3, 1637. He received a good education from his father, the learned rabbi Seligmann. The name "Hahn," as his grandson, Joseph ben Moses Kosman, says in the preface to "''Noheg ka-Ẓon Yosef''," is derived from the family house called "Zum rothen Hahn." Hahn was the author of "''Yosif Omeẓ''," (also spelled "''Joseph Omeẓ''"), which was published at Frankfurt in 1723 by Moses Reiss Darum, son-in-law of Joseph ben Moses Kosman. This work treats of liturgical questions, of the most important moments of religious life, of education, charity, morality, the Christian holidays, and the civil calendar. It is written in a popular style; and short remarks show the author to have been a master of the Halakha. Rachel Nordlinger
Rachel Nordlinger is an Australian linguist and a professor at The University of Melbourne. Education After completing a master's degree at The University of Melbourne, she received her PhD in linguistics in 1997 from Stanford University. Research Her research focuses on Indigenous Australian languages, and is based on fieldwork undertaken with Bilinarra, Wambaya, Gudanji, Murrinhpatha and Marri Ngarr communities. Her theoretical interests include syntactic and morphological theory, particularly Lexical Functional Grammar and its application to the complex grammatical structures of Australian Indigenous Languages. She has published widely on these topics in international journals, in addition to authoring four books. In other writing and interviews, she has discussed the importance of supporting the use and transmission of Indigenous Languages in Australia. Zelda Nordlinger
Zelda Kingoff Norldinger (1932 – 18 March 2008) was an American feminist and women's rights activist coordinator for the National Organization for Women (NOW) chapter in Virginia during the 1960s. Early life Zelda K. Norldinger was born in South Carolina in 1932 to parents Joseph and Alice Kingoff. She moved to Richmond Virginia in 1947. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1950 and Marjorie Webster Jr. College in 1952. After attending the Sally Thomkins School of Practical Nursing, Nordlinger graduated in 1984 from Virginia Commonwealth University with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
