The Nordic Folkboat Gold Cup is a sailing race in Nordic Folkboat held annually in Sweden Sweden, formally the Kingdom of Sweden,The United Nations Group of Experts on Geographical Names states that the country's formal name is the Kingdom of SwedenUNGEGN World Geographical Names, Sweden./ref> is a Nordic country located on ..., Denmark, Finland, or Germany. The cup is subject for competition between yacht clubs competed in regular fleet racing style with individual crew. If any yacht club manages to win the cup for six times, the club wins it to keep it forever. It has been conquered forever three times, by Kjøbenhavns Amatør-Sejlklub in 1974 and by Kerteminde Sejlklub in 1982 and 1994. Luckily both yacht clubs have donated the cup back to continue the tradition of the prestigious cup. With the lack of a World Championships, the Gold Cup is the most prestigious event in the class. Heinrich "Hein Daddel" Dahlinger (30 October 1922 – 2 February 2008) was a German world-class field handball and team handball player and entrepreneur of a wood sale company. With his winning of the Nordic Folkboat Gold Cup on his boat the ''Daddel'' in 1963 he was the unofficial champion of Nordic Folkboat. Skovshoved is a former fishing village on the Øresund coast north of Copenhagen, Denmark. The area is part of Charlottenlund postal district and Gentofte Municipality. Local landmarks include Skovshoved Church, Sjovshoved Hotel and the listed Arne Jacobsen-designed Skovshoved Petrol Station from 1938. History The first known reference to Skovshoved (''Scogshouet'') is from 1275. It was originally a small fishing village with just a few houses. An inn, Skovshoved Kro, opened in the village in 1660. In 1620 it obtained status of royal privileged inn, enabling it to brew its own beer. Skovshoved was known for its fish wives, ''Skovserkoner'', who would carry the day's catch in caskets on their back to the fish market at Gammel Strand in Copenhagen.
