Johan Nordhagen
Johan Nordhagen (23 March 1856 – 28 August 1956) was a Norwegian painter, graphic artist, educator and school administrator. Childhood Johan Nordhagen was born in Veldre in the Ringsaker municipality of Hedmark, Norway. He was the son of Ole Johansen (1816–73) and Ahlis Hansdatter Nordhagen (1830–91). He grew up in Nordhagen on a farm called Flisaker. His father was from Grue, and was of Finnish descent. He worked as a cartwheel-maker. His mother was from Veldre. He grew up in poverty. Nordhagen drew a lot in his childhood, and was often told to do something useful instead. It was just a coincidence that Nordhagen in his youth made contact with persons who helped him making a career in art. Olaf Nordhagen
Johan Olaf Brochmann Nordhagen (16 March 1883 – 6 November 1925) was a Norwegian educator, architect, engineer and artist. He is most commonly associated with his restoration designs for Nidaros Cathedral in Trondheim, Norway. Biography Olaf Nordhagen was born in Christiania (now Oslo), Norway. He was a son of painter and artist Johan Nordhagen (1856–1956) and Christine Magdalene Brochmann Johansen (1858–1933). He was a brother of botanist Rolf Nordhagen and through him an uncle of art historian Per Jonas Nordhagen. In April 1909 in Ådal he married Thora Hval (1887–1960). Nordhagen was educated as an engineer at Christiania tekniske skole in Oslo and worked as an apprentice to architect Bredo Greve for several years before studying at the Royal Danish Academy of Art while also assisting Martin Nyrop with his designs for Copenhagen City Hall. Rolf Nordhagen (botanist)
Rolf Nordhagen (21 October 1894 – 8 March 1979) was a Norwegian botanist. His greatest scientific efforts were in the area of plant sociology. Personal life Rolf Nordhagen was born in Kristiania as a son of artist Johan Nordhagen (1856–1956) and Christine Magdalene, née Johansen (1858–1933). He was a brother of Olaf Nordhagen and Martha Gladtved-Prahl. In August 1925 in Oslo he married Elisabeth Marie Myhre (1900–1979). He was the father of art historian Per Jonas Nordhagen (born 1929) and computer scientist, Rolf Nordhagen (1927–2013). Rolf Nordhagen (physicist)
Rolf Nordhagen (2 August 1927 – 1 July 2013) was a Norwegian physicist and computer scientist. Early life and education Rolf was born in Bergen, Norway. He was the son of the noted botanist, Rolf Nordhagen (1894– 1979) and the brother of art historian Per Jonas Nordhagen. He took his PhD in Liverpool in 1958, and was a docent in nuclear physics at the University of Oslo from 1970 to 1974. He changed to being the university's director of "EDB" (information technology) from 1974 to 1986 before being hired as a professor of informatics in 1986. Career Nordhagen was involved in the development and reconstruction of both the Norwegian academic network UNINETT as well as the Nordic university network NORDUnet. Christine Nordhagen (born June 26, 1971 in Valhalla Centre, Alberta, Valhalla, Alberta) is a former Canadians, Canadian wrestling, wrestler. Wrestling Nordhagen, who began wrestling at age 20, is a graduate of the University of Alberta. She has won six world championship gold medals: 1994, 1996, 2000 and 2001 in Sofia, Bulgaria (70 kg freestyle for 1994 and 1996, 75 kg for 2000 and 68 kg for 2001), 1997 in Clermont-Ferrand, France, and 1998 in Poznań, Poland (both 68 kg). She won a silver medal in 1993 in Stavern, Norway and a bronze medal in 1999 in Boden, Sweden, Boden, Sweden (both 70 kg). At the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens she placed 5th in the 72 kg women's freestyle. She retired from competition a year after the Athens Games. Per Jonas Nordhagen (born 30 October 1929) is a Norwegian art historian. He was born in Bergen as a son of professor Rolf Nordhagen (1894–1979) and Elisabeth Marie Myhre (1900–1979). He was a grandson of Johan Nordhagen and nephew of Olaf Nordhagen. He has been married twice; first to art historian Signe Horn Fuglesang, a daughter of Rolf Jørgen Fuglesang. He finished his secondary education in 1948 and took the mag.art. degree (PhD equivalent) at the University of Oslo in 1955. He was a lecturer at the University of Oslo from 1962 to 1969, and after taking the dr.philos. degree in 1968 he became a docent at the University of Bergen from 1969 to 1973. Wayne Oren Nordhagen (born July 4, 1948) is an American former Major League Baseball outfielder and designated hitter. He played eight seasons in the majors for the Chicago White Sox (1976–81), Toronto Blue Jays (1982), Pittsburgh Pirates (1982) and Chicago Cubs (1983). Career Drafted by the New York Yankees in 1968, Nordhagen played in 502 games in eight major league seasons. In an oddity, Nordhagen was traded twice in ten days for the same player, outfielder Dick Davis. On June 15, 1982, Nordhagen was traded by the Blue Jays to the Philadelphia Phillies for Davis. Later that day, without having played for the Phillies, he was traded again, this time to the Pirates for outfielder Bill Robinson.
