Norberto González
Norberto González Miranda (born 10 October 1979) is a former baseball player who was a left-handed pitcher for the Cuba national baseball team, Cuban national baseball team and Elefantes de Cienfuegos, Cienfuegos of the Cuban National Series, where he played for 18 seasons. Representing Cuba, González was a two-time Olympic medalist, winning gold at the Baseball at the 2004 Summer Olympics, 2004 Athens Olympics and silver at the Baseball at the 2008 Summer Olympics, 2008 Beijing Olympics. He also won a silver medal at the 2006 World Baseball Classic, inaugural edition of the World Baseball Classic in 2006. Career González was born on 10 October 1979 in the city of Cienfuegos, Cuba. 2006 Intercontinental Cup (baseball)
The 2006 IBAF Intercontinental Cup was held in Taichung, Taiwan from November 9 through the 19th. Eight countries contested the tournament, which was played at Taichung Baseball Field and the newly built Taichung Intercontinental Baseball Stadium. The participating countries were Cuba, Australia, Italy, the Netherlands, Japan, South Korea, and the Philippines in addition to the hosts from Chinese Taipei (Taiwan). Italian Baseball League
The Italian Baseball League (IBL, ), officially known as the Serie A (), is the top-level baseball league in Italy. In baseball or softball, a strikeout (or strike-out) occurs when a batter accumulates three strikes during a time at bat. In baseball statistics, earned run average (ERA) is the average of earned runs allowed by a pitcher per nine innings pitched (i.e. the traditional length of a game). Adiel Palma López (born August 20, 1970) is a Cuban left-handed pitcher for the Cuban national baseball team and Cienfuegos of the Cuban National Series. Palma was on the gold medal-winning Cuban team at the 2004 Summer Olympics and the silver medal-winning team at the 2006 World Baseball Classic. The Cuban National Series (, or SNB) is a domestic baseball competition in Cuba. Formed after the dissolution of the Cuban League in the wake of the Cuban Revolution, the National Series is a part of the Cuban baseball league system. For most of its existence, the National Series has existed as the top-level winter league in Cuba. From 2022 to 2024, it operated as a summer league, with the top six National Series teams qualifying for the Cuban Elite League (LEB). Baseball at the 2011 Pan American Games in Guadalajara was held between October 19 and 25, 2011. All games were played at the Pan American Baseball Stadium in Lagos de Moreno, Mexico. The draw for the competition took place in July 2011, in which the eight teams were drawn into two groups of four.
